It's going great!! So,....I asked DD today - "just how soon do you think I will need to be in GA before the wedding......??" I think she would FREAK if I was gone (as in out of the country) two weeks before the big day.....

LMAO, hearing disability huh? I actually get about 40 mpg with the Road King. Not bad for the way I ride.

I was making travel arrangements this week and our corp TA had an advertisement for getting your luggage to your destination so you didn't have to lug it to the airport. I am going to research this - cause I KNOW I am going to need more than 1 suitcase + a carryon for 14 days. I am so accustomed to driving to the ports and taking as much as I want......
Also, how are you getting home from Miami? I will probably rent a car and drive it back to Jax. Not sure if the ladies (that's what I call Joanne and Shirley) will fly back to Ohio from Miami or will ride with me to Jax and fly home from there.
Is it time to start planning this stuff?

It is doll, I think they have opened flight bookings to Long Beach already. Should prolly get them booked before fuel goes up any more. We are probably gonna rent a car and drive up too. Let me know what you find out about the luggage thing. Thinking about flying out Friday night, giving us all day Saturday to recover from jet lag, and explore a lil bit. Neither of us has been to the left coast before.

I am going to use FF miles to get there. I better start researching - don't have much time left - LMAO!!
There is SOOOO much to do and see out there. Driving on I-5 is an experience in itself - or the PCH - LOL.

I have a bunch of Delta miles too, gonna try to use them. Be nice to get htat part for free, especially with the cost of the cruise.

I got my plane tickets this morning!! $199 - Delta one way from Jax to Lax. What a deal.
Now to find a hotel. I was researching over on the West Coast thread. Curt Jerome Wilder has posted alot of info there. He recommends the Coast Hotel Long Beach - which is right by the port. I went out there and they want $269/night. No way Jose! We are flying in on Friday and will need two rooms for two nights - so I need something more economical - or will have to pull out my Hilton points..... He didn't say very nice things about the QM.

My friends got their tickets on cheap tickets - one way to LA from Ohio - $169.00 - on Delta - the same flight as me. We arrive in LA on 3/20 at 12:46 going thru Atlanta. WOWZA
Looks like we may be staying at the Doubletree San Pedro. The Coast Hotel is very expensive. I will let you know for sure when I get it booked.

Cool, keep me posted. Were actually thinking about QM for Saturday night, just to be right there. And for the experience. Going in knowing what I've read in reviews of course, I'll know what to expect. We'll see I guess.

| Keep me posted too about the QM. I am not sure how they assign cabins - I would not want to get something icky. The Doubletree has rooms with balconies - and it's right at the marina on the water. I have not made reservations yet tho.....

Sorta - kinda - uh not really...... Kids are here so I'm kinda being a delinquent (with my bosses blessing ) We are going to lunch and then looking for bridesmaids dresses!
I didn't get a flight to LB because Delta doesn't fly in there unless I went via ATL and SLC. Didn't want to do that many legs......
Also, I am looking for a way to get my luggage there without toteing it myself. Going to do that research too in my spare time.

Yeah, I noticed the flights into LB had a few stops, but when I looked weren't bad price wise.
When we sail this one, we'll be platinum, so I told Lyn we can pack light, they'll do the wash.

I'm guessin we are under 300 now - woo hoo!! Had a great time with the kids - time just flew by. Now I'm back on the road - heading to MN for the week. Shelly and I are getting together Wednesday night -
