My only problem is that I promised my daughter a cruise for graduation that year.  I don't know that I can swing a 7 day-er for both of us, plus airfare-:(  I would really like this one, though. . .

Cindy - I've been looking at the airfare (that's a big deal for us too) and they really aren't any more expensive from CLT to LAX than they would be from CLT to MIA....

Well, I emailed Johna....so looks like I'm gonna try to pull this off as a surprise for Brian. I figured if I can pull $25 out of every check, I should be able to book pay this off and pay most of the airfare. And that's a balcony cabin too.

If I bring my lunch almost every day I can easily do that.:big grin:

Now, it's your turn.

Yes we do want you to go. Brian said last night in general conversation, that he never wanted to go to Los Angeles....ever..... And then he amended it to say he would go to see the Dodgers, as we love going to different ballparks....

Boy is he gonna be surprised. Hmm, wonder if the Dodgers will be in town that weekend?

Beats me....I didn't probe too much. If I ask too many questions, he'll want to know why I want to know.

This cruise will be worth it Cindy - and as far as "the big one" - you won't be in LA long enough for it to get ya!! Now for the plane ride - have lots of liquid medication and dream of the wonderful vacation you are taking.....:sleepy:

There is a direct flight from JAX to LAX (hee hee - those airport codes crack me up). It leaves at o'dark thirty. I guarantee I will sleep through it.

Like I said, you don't have to convince me!:big grin: But I'm not responsible if I have too much liquid medication on the plane! :drink:I promise I'll try.  But first I gotta get a second job. . . :P

Don't worry ladies...we will keep the ground stable while your out here!

Wish I could join ya but we can't...I did book the Mariner OTS with Family Man for June 09 though.....

Did I tell you all about the time when I lived in LA and woke up to see the hanging light right over my bed swaying back and forth about 8 inches in each direction...that was weird..LOL

Also if you like ball parks Dodger Stadium is THE BEST!! They seem to update it every 5 years or so and it  still looks brand new!!

LOTS to do in LA, if ya want any inside scoop just let me know!:martini:

Thanks Mike. I'm definitely going to be looking into throwing a Dodger game into this. I hope they are in town that Saturday night. This whole trip is one of those things that only happens once in a while. I know ticket prices change from year to year, but what is average price for tickets at Dodger Stadium? I'll even do nosebleed, LOL, I just want to add it to my list of stadiums (Wrigley is still my favorite park....with the new Busch and the Ballpark at Arlington right up there).

Pretty much the same as everywhere else on pricing....you should be able to get a good mid level seat for around $30 pp and nose bleeds for around $20

My fav new thing at Dodger Stadium deal (though I havent gotten to try it yet) started this season....a specific section in right field bleachers that cost right around $30 pp and includes all you can eat and drink (no beer or specially foods) soda, hot dogs, peanuts, nachos etc...pretty good deal..you can get tix and info on Dodgers website!
