Well, we did think about that, but it was a little too expensive for us poor folks. Did get some good news yesterday, though. One of my friends has been teaching undergrad. students and they need more teachers, so she is going to try to hook me up with a job. It would be 2, 6 hour days a week! Woohoo...no more weekends!!:cheering:Me and Cole are taking a trip down to New Orleans June 20-24th...if anyone is interested in meeting up with us! Should be a good time. Might hear us sing some more karoke!:hide:

I almost have the email list compiled.  I have one more email I am waiting for.  I just need to get some emails addresses from Amy to have everyone covered that I show has cabins.

Amy I need emails for Patrick or Nancy, Brian, Allison, one of Allisons parents, and your new friends that are supposed to be booking.  Plus anyone else you want me to add to the list.

Once I have a list of everyone we think we be going, I am going to release them to Terry.  She said she will periodically send out updates to everyone.  I don't want to release emails to her just yet because I would like to inform everyone before I do.  I think I have some people in my group that I would piss off if I gave out their email addresses without them knowing.  :fan:I don't want to make them feel forced into anything.

Have a good night everyone.  I'm off to bed!  :sleepy:

I may just take you up on that offer Dan.

I am getting angry with some of my maybes. I gave them Terry's info to contact her and they are procrastinating! I know I can't wait to book my cruises! I've even told them to check out this site so they can see how much fun we are!:partytime:

I wonder if I could book their cruises without their knowledge/permission lol. Probably not, right? Though it would end the procrastination problem. How can I light a fire under them??:flamin:

This here is a seasaw battle.  On one hand you could pester them to death until the point they say to hell with it.  On the other hand you can turn it over to Terry and let her pester them until they say the hell with it.

I think people have alot of preconceived notions and fears about cruising.  I used to be the same way until I actually got on the ship.  I think we need to leverage Terry as much as we possibly can without irritating our friends.  She knows how to speak to them and get their questions/fears answered.

I have a couple of friends who are really interested in going but for some strange reason they don't want me to give their info to Terry, (which confuses me, I guess they think I am the expert?).

So about the only leverage I can see we have, without bugging them to death, is that there are only a certain amount of cabins and the sooner they deposit, the better the chances of getting a cabin they want in that category.  I want to be able to accomodate everyone and give them a chance to reserve what they want but I can only add on more cabins at the same rate until July 15th.  At that point they can only get what we have available.

Plus I can almost bet there will be another fuel surcharge increase on the horizon that will make the trip price increase even more.  I paid $4.05 for gas today and I am sure it hasn't peaked yet.  The money that they could have used to make the deposit now will probably be tied up in fuel expenses in the next couple of months.

Any other feedback here would be great guys.  Let us know what you think.

Side note, how about the mardis gras smiley ---> :flashing:  First time I have seen this one!!

MySpace page is now verified!!  I can now send messages from it and add all of your friends.  The email address is worng but I guess asking them to change that would be too much.  It only took them a month to help me verify it!

Same here! I guess they think she'll just be constantly bugging them or something. Which couldn't be farther from the truth!

Don't be discouraged! People either will or will not cruise. Some actually have a fear of being on the water and some may think it's too expensive. Jason, some of your friends may be interested but would rather talk to you about it rather than someone who they have not met. We know they would comfortable with Terry but she is still an "unknown" with them. A good selling point for those considering the cruise is that there is a minimul deposit right now. Later, that may not be the case. This far out, we should be able to add cabins to the group with no problems. I have a couple of "maybes" here but that's about it so far.

I had not noticed this before....:flashing: but  since we are  involved in Mardi Gras year-round, I see so many that they all start to look alike!:yay::P

I'm not discouraged by any means.  But there are just so many maybes at the moment that its hard for me to keep track of them all.  And honestly, that's what the TAs job is.  I can only help them so much.  At some point they we have to physically call her if they would like to book.

I must have missed this, sorry. If you want some just let me know. I'll be glad to send you some (Community).

In fact, we will be in New Orleans Friday if anyone needs anything from there. They have a fantastic fireworks display on the river. Wish everyone could be with us!

Anyone have a cool plans for the 4th.  We were going to watch a midget race in VA but being that our refinance had issues, I don't really have any cash.   Looks like I will be staying home and watching the NASCAR race this weekend.  Should be a good race at Daytona saturday night.  Hope everyone has a good holiday.  :proud:

Other than good food, drink, music and fabulous fireworks in New Orleans, not much.:banana::banana::banana:

We are having a family reunion this weekend so there will be a ton of people here from all over the country. I do plan to watch the race though!

We were going to refinance about 15 years ago but it seemed that there was more BS involved then than when we bought the freakin' house! Glad we didn't though, two years left!!
