OK, so this time everything is spelled correctly and the date is right in the title!!  I was trying to type quickly at work and had a few typos!

We had to change our cruise since the Valor is now going to be a western caribbean cruise only now.  So we will now be on board the Glory on May 23rd 2009

If you would like to join us we still have plenty of cabins available!

Lol glad we got everything straightened out. I just thought we would get more people's attention showing a future cruise than one that had already happened lol.
Hopefully we can increase our group with this new date and ship!

Dan put a thread on the Cruise Critic Glory roll call and has already found 5 more people who will be joining us!  We may pick up a few more people now.  I think the Glory is a more popular ship and is closer for most people to get to.

I just realized, the change will be better for us since we will be driving. Less distance to travel!:bike:

Woohoo! Way to find the silver lining Dan.
In other news, I have two more people interested in joining us. My friend and her bf. I told them to wait a few days to let Terry get everything sorted out. Their names are Kelli and Brandon - and they are both cruise virgins!

lol i knew you'd have fun with that.
So I went back to porttime.com to see how crowded our ports will be with our new itinerary. Here's how it goes:

May 24 - Nassau - 9,098 passengers (3 ships)
May 26 - St. Thomas - 9,341 passengers (3 ships)
May 27 - St. Maarten - 3,700 passengers (all by ourselves!)

If I remember right, that's not quite as bad as with the Valor. That will be nice to be the only ship in port in St. Maarten.

I think I have a couple of cruise virgins going with us as well!!

I'm getting good news about transfering/refunding the insurance but bad new about the cost of the cruise.  Will let you know ASAP when I get off the phone with Terry.

Hey everyone... I haven't had a chance to get on lately but wanted to check in. That sucks they changed the itinerary on y'all for the cruise. We know for sure we can't go--- we found out this weekend that Crystal is pregnant with a May 2nd due date. I think that would be a little quick for a cruise.

Chris, you know back in the "old" days, women would have kids in the fields ,wrap them up and go back to work. Crystal will have three weeks to recover before the cruise! You could leave plenty of canned goods and water for the kids so i think they would be OK by themselves for a few days. I don't see a problem!:P

Just kidding of course. I'm happy for you and Crystal and I'm sure your Son will be looking forward to having a brother or sister. Good luck!

I'm sure after 3 weeks of no sleep we'll wish we were on a cruise. :big grin:

We are definitely looking at taking a cruise to somewhere March 2010. That's when I'll graduate with my MBA and it just happens to be the month of our 5yr anniversary too.  :partytime:

The Triumph out of NOLA might be just the ticket for March '10 ! They are going to have several itineraries to choose from. We would be about ready to do that one by then.

I checked out the Eastern Caribbean on March 6th. I've wanted to go to Key West for a while but haven't had a chance. Not sure about the Bahamas but as long as there is a beach and drinks I'm sure it can't be too bad.

Hello Everyone!  Sorry i haven't been around.  I started classes again after a 2 week break last Monday.  I know that Dan already knows how I feel about the cruise being changed.  But can I just say that I feel Carnival as a whole are a bunch of cock suckers.  They have the worst customer service I have ever heard of.  Me working in a hospital it's all about customer service.  We have something called service recovery and if you make a mistake you own up to it number one,  you apologize second, and third you give them something small to compensate them.  It doesn't matter the value of the compensation its the fact that you are willing to say that you were wrong and that you are sorry.  Anyways, enough of that.

I wanted to say CONGRATS to Crystal and Chris on the new baby!!  I am very excited for the two of you.

Well I need to run and get studying for a Microbiology quiz in the morning.  I hope everyone has a great HUMP!! (HA HA) day.:censor:

We have been to Key West either. I guess we will see what The Bahamas have to offer soon enough. We'll keep in touch and try to firm something up a little later on. I'm sure we will be seeing you in NOLA sometime before then anyway.

Hey guys, I got a bit of an update.  Terry is trying to flex her muscles with the Carnival Reps.  She would like to put everything on hold for a week or two to see how things work out.  Currently there are 3 ships leaving on the western caribbean that weekend in Miami, the Pride, Triumph, and Valor.  The Pride is supposed to be moving to Baltimore soon and the Triumph will have a new home in New Orleans.  Terry seems to think that there will be another ship arriving soon in South Florida for the weekend of the 16th to take over the eastern caribbean cruise.  Maybe even the Glory since the Dream will be arriving in Port Canaveral.  So the saga is TO BE CONTINUED. :shoot me:

Chris!  Congrats on the little one!!  Kathy's spring break usually run in late March so we may be able to go at that time.  Let us get through this saga and we will see how things are.  I have never been to Key West either but would like to go.  I could care less about going to the Bahamas.  The only thing good there is the Kalik Beer. :drink:

I'm really sorry about the mess guys.  I did not expect any of this to happen.  I will keep you posted.  :drugs:

Thanks for the Congrats... It will be interesting with a very active 2yr old, a new baby, finishing up my MBA, and work...

We'll definitely keep in touch. Hopefully that will be an option for you guys when the time comes. I'm sure we'll be in NO several times before then. I'll be there next month (on the West Bank actually) for a supervisor's conference. We want to come back this December for Celebration in the Oaks too.

The Triumph is scheduled to move to NOLA in November of '09. I kinda hope the Glory 5/23 works out because as it turns out, that would be better all around for us. Waiting a couple of weeks is OK with us but there are some who are anxious to book. Amy has a couple for sure.

Carnival sure screwed the pooch  didn't they?:censor:

Seems that Brandi got her cruise changed to the Glory at no extra cost.

My wife is pretty fired up as you can tell.  :flamin:  Carnival doesn't want me to cut her loose on them!  She seems to have a way of getting what she wants! :nono:

Anyway, Terry has emailed the Carnival reps and has threatened to pull all of her business, several hundred thousand dollars!!  Maybe they will wake up after that.  :sleepy:

It's nice to know that she is fighting this for us.  I will let you know more as I get the info.
