The parties start much sooner though. There are Kings & Queens and Dukes and Maids parties for each Krewe and a few just for the hell of it.:P

My Krewe has a tradition of heading to Bourbon Street in full-dress the weekend prior to the first local parade. There is usually a "parade" in The Quarter that weekend also. That would be a really good weekend to be there ! It's the weekend of Feb.6th-8th.

Feb. 6th would work pretty well for us.  Kathy wanted to know if she could be in your parade and throw out beads!

Tell her not to worry, we have plenty of beads! :flashing:Let me know your sizes and we can pick up some "Mardi Gras" shirts or something for ya.

My wife and I will be attending the annual Halloween party at a friends house.  She will be dressed as a 1920s flapper girl and I am going as a crime boss!

We don't have any specific plans for Halloween besides doing a parade. We have parades and parties for just about any reason down here.

Jason, that's great about the neighbors! Hope we can get a few more to book! Do you have any idea what the new rates are for new bookings on The Glory? Any word from Terry?

No word from Terry on my end yet. She probably wants to get all the new invoices done before she sends them out?

Hey Everyone!! Can I say THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY!!  Anyways, I spoke with Terry last night when I gave her our payment on the cruise.  She has had a death in the family and she has been tied up making arrangements and things.  Her plan, God willing is for her to finish all of our change over into her system and email all of us our new booking numbers.  Hey Dan, watch the race tonight you may see us on TV.  :funnel:You can't beat getting free tickets from the team.  Ha ha, gotta run and get s**t ready for the nephews party tomorrow.  :wtf:Hope everyone has a great weekend. :partytime::bootyshake::rockstar:

Pretty good. Partied pretty much the entire weekend. And the week preceding it lol. It was Brett's sister's birthday, so it was a fun weekend.
Any word yet on the invoices? I know Terry has a lot going on, i was just wondering.

Hey guys, just got back from testing in FL for two days and now I am heading to Rockingham today.  That's why I have not been on!

I did get an invoice but mine had the Carnival Valor info on it still!  I'm hoping this is a typo!  :help:

Gotta hit the road, be back on later tonight!

That was a good race this past weekend! Good luck with the next one!

We are waiting to pay anything further on the cruise until we get some kind of paperwork showing the change. We should have had something by now.:(

I got an email from Terry.  She has been hit with several deaths with family and friends in the past month.  She told me that she has just found out that her father in law now has stage 4 cancer and her husband now has to go to Washington state to be with him in the little time he has left.  I'm not trying to make any excuses for her but from the emails I have got she has been somewhat distressed and very appologetic.

She did also say that everything was taken care of through carnival but she has not had any time to put in each reservation manually through Cruises Inc.  She said that she was going to get them to start processing our reservations for her.  Now that I am home for atleast a week or two I will try to stay on top of it a little more and keep you guys better informed of what is happening.

Oops, yeah that's what I meant. What a difference a word makes!

Yeah, sounds like she's got a lot on her plate. Poor thing.

Melissa is going to NOLA with the Ladies who ride her Mardi Gras float tomorrow and is going to Oak Alley Plantation Sunday with Kat. I will be going to watch my Youngest Daughter perform in a band competition Saturday and doing fix-it things the rest of the weekend I suppose.

Have fun at the reunion !

Hey guys, I survived the weekend in Savanah.  I must say I was unimpressed with it.  Everything is really run down looking there.  New Orleans is old as well but atleast there it more achitechure to look at.  The reunion was very boring as well.

We should be getting close to 200 days now.  Just need to get through the cold weather!!  It was 35 last night here!!

Good morning!

We have some friends who live in Savannah and have visited there a couple of times. There are some really nice places there mostly along the river. We especially liked touring the old district. Our friends Daughter works for Paula Dean and, due to that, we got the VIP treatment at her "Lady and Son"s" restaurant.:P

I can understand the reunion blues. At ours there are quite a few people who I really don't care to see.:hands:

The weather here is beautiful!! It's perfect for spending time in New Orleans!
