So are you jet sking up and down your roads Dan?  :drowning:

Galveston took a beating, I have never seen so many boats tossed all over the roads and the interstate!

I'm not but everyone South of me is. Ike has done more damage here than Gustav. I don't think anyone will be cruising out of Galveston for quite a while.:(

I can only imagine what happened to all of the people's car who parked at the cruise terminal.  Hopefully everyone parked on the upper decks!!

The cars in the parking garage should be OK. The ones parked elswhere such as the EZ cruise lots will need a new car I'm afraid.

Awesome. I'm ready for our "Glory"ous cruise.  Can we make it be May any sooner? Can anyone build a time machine? Or my personal method, practice making and sampling the different drinks of the day. Sometimes a night or even a whole day can pass by doing that :drinkingshots:

I'm with you! I could sure use a cruise now!

My method to make time pass faster is to spend the weekend in New Orleans. I know it sounds odd but I could sure use a Hurricane* about now.

Jason, it looks like we will be heading up to Jersey on 11/21/08 and will head back here 11/26/08. Will you and the Pretty Lady be home then?

We will both be here around that time.  We are staying home for thanksgiving this year.  So we can figure it out when it gets closer.

I could go for a Hurricane at Pat O's.  The one I got there nearly put me down for the evening.  Man that drink was strong!!

I see the Conquest is in NOLA for a few days waiting on Galveston to reopen!  Poor people.  I would hate to have to spend two extra days in NOLA!!

Great!  It will be good to see the two of you again! I'm not sure yet if my Daughter wil be with us. She has missed a lot of school with the storms so we'll see how they schedule the make-up days.

The reason I like to get a room on Bourbon Street is if I do happen to be over-served I can crawl back to the Hotel. Not that I have ever been in such a state mind you.:drinkingshots:

I think The Conquest has left already. They are going to use the terminal in Houston.

Jason, do you happen to know which day Terry is switching everyone over? Because I have another friend who may be interested, but she's going through some personal stuff right now, so the cruise isn't at the very top of her list. I told her she should book as soon as possible, but I was just wondering.

Well she originally told me monday or tuesday but it appears that has not happened yet because I am still shown on the Valor on Carnival's website.  I would imagine it will be any day now.  Your friends need to call her ASAP and put the deposit down.

I would imagine carnival has been very busy this week getting people moved around because Galveston is closed.  I think it has created a mess because they have people who are still stuck on the ship and people who didn't get to go on their cruises at all.

Good morning!

I just checked The Glory roll-call over on Cruise Critic and it looks like we have some more cruisers going with us.

Good luck with your friend Amy! I need to check with my friend to see if he has booked.

Well it appears there has been no change in the reservation as of yet.  Maybe you friends will have time to get their deposits put down.

Any word yet on the switch?

I just got a Currents magazine and it's telling me about the fun things I can do on my Carnival Valor cruise in 2009 lol.

Hi guys, I tried to give Terry a  call last night but had to leave a message.  Apparently there are a few complications with them transfering our reservation.  I'm hoping that this will get resolved sooner than later.  But maybe this hang up will give your friends a few extra days to book!
