Yep, it's looking good with Ike! If we get too much wind/rain I'm afraid we will lose most of our ceilings.
I sooooooo need a cruise! Or a weekend in Nola. Or a day in Nola. Or maybe just a freakin' foo-foo drink!

That's what a couple have said. I changed it a couple days ago but I'm still seeing the old one...wth?...MODS...

Liv, I asked Nikki but I doubt she will go. Sure would be nice to have our own personal shot-girl on the cruise though. Working on another one...

Got the email Dan! Need some contact info for David.  You probably should just give him Terry's phone number and have him get in touch with her ASAP. I am hearing they have issued hurricane warnings now as far east as Morgan City, LA. That can't be good for you guys Dan. They keep saying this storm is going to head west but I don't believe it. Looks to me it keeps heading right at LA. Even if it hits at the Texas border you guys may get slammed again!
Better take cover because --->

lol that's true. Just for fun, if they had to reroute us because of damage, what ports would you want to go to and why?

I must have jinxed myself with my Blue roof comment.
I just had to come home and put the freakin' tarp back on. We are having gusts of around 30 mph right now. We are far enough out that even if a hurricane does hit one of our ports it should be back up and running by the time we are scheduled to be there. Believe it or not, the Hurricane season is starting to wind down now.

| Sorry Dan, I probably jinxed you for bringing it up! I have not heard from your buddy who was interested in the cruise so maybe he got in contact with Terry. Terry had a sinkhole in her area from Hanna that knocked her internet out completely. I just got an email from her saying she was now back up and running.

No problem, got the tarps back up before the rain started so it's all good!

Sorry Amy, I skipped over your post. If I could get rid of one it would be the Bahamas and would rather go to either Puerto Rico or the BVI since I have never been there. I have been to the Bahamas twice now and really wasn't impressed with their people. I would really like to do the cruise that goes to St. Martin, St. Kitts, and St. Lucia and some point to get down to some of the smaller islands.

Yep, we are getting wind and rain but not too bad. The problem is the storm surge. There are several breaches in the levees and the water is rising. I would expect Galveston to be pretty much wiped out.
