Hey all! We are in Montgomery, Ala. All are well. Thanks for all the well-wishes.

Brandi, we have several EMT friends who stayed and they are telling us that it's bad. It may be several days before everyone is allowed free entry and several weeks before we have electricity.One of the houses that burned was next door to Cajun Enterprises on Van Ave.

Terrebonne and Lafourche are both closed to re-entry and under 24 hr curfew.We have some utility workers who are with us and have papers for re-entry and since they are riding with us, we may all try to get back in. Their trucks are at my Son's house in Bayou Blue and he has the fuel for them in his truck here. You can get a lot of up-to-date info @ http://www.houmatoday.com

HTV lost their tower but Martin is broadcasting on the net @

Debbie & Cliff are OK. They have damage but not as bad as some neighbors. Cliff tried to get to my house about 4 blocks away but couldn't make it due to downed trees.

hey dan! thanks for the info.....yeah we have been looking at houmatoday often for any updates and last night i watched the live stream of htv till it went off air....we were able to see footage of houma....east side....bourg...chauvin.... but nothing close to my house....yeah i saw the house on van.....i live kinda close to there... around the acandian apartments.....we had some friends try to get back in this morning and they made them turn around and told them they can not come in until friday at noon....so we are just waiting to hear word but it looks like we won't go back till friday....but if you hear any updates dan let me know.....glad ur safe and be careful on the trip back!

Still in Alabama....we have more friends and family who have arrived here so I guess we will stay for a few days. Debbie called and said I need a new roof and my neighbors awning was now mine but the house is still there.

We still don't know about #2's house but at least we will have one house that's semi-livable when we return. Brandi, I'm sure you can expect some roof damage but if that's all we can be thankful. I live in Bayou Gardens behind Southland Mall and from the pictures, I expected much worse. One of my Brothers has a house behind mine and there is a tree through his roof.

Brenda called and said Carnival was having a $99 sale for a short cruise out of Galveston. Sure could use one now!

Ok, I finally head back from Terry. Evidentally Hanna missed me but nailed her. She has been without power and internet for a couple of days. She said she is going to try and move us over this weekend so make sure your friends get booked by then. She said Carnival has been really busy with adjusting for hurricane.

Good evening! We are fully functional here today! Our insurance Dude came by today and walked around and took a few pics. He did say "Hmmmm" a lot so I guess that's a good sign.

I hear the curfew has been lifted but still no alcohol sales.

We sure need a post-hurricane party here! Cliff & Debbie should have power restored tonight so they may be back with us soon.

As far as I know, all in my group are still going. Haven't heard anything from Brandi yet.
