OK, cat, here goes:  last year, I celebrated my 40th birthday on board the Carnival Victory Cruise To Nowhere.  At midnight, the pit boss in the casino bought a round of drinks for all of us at the roullette table.  I then hit a hard 11.  Good omen????

So, we booked it again this year.  October 11, 2008 (again the number 11) in Norfolk (about 3.5 hours from home).  Goes out to sea for a little while, then comes back on Monday the 13th.  OK, so I won't be turning 41 on board this time.  But, we're still celebrating my birthday.

We had a great group last year meet up at Sirens bar right after the muster drill.  Care to join me this year???  First drink is on me!!!  The birthday girl (well, OK, woman!!!)

Sounds like fun!  And I've never been on CCL, so I'd like to try a short cruise to see if I like it. Sounds very tempting at another time, though. My DH and I are going on the very last trans-atlantic crossing on the QE 2 in October. Cunard is retiring her, so we are thrilled we will be on her last Atlantic voyage.
