| I gotta be in NOLA the last week in Feb - the 25th week - y'all wouldn't be planning a get together the weekend before or after that week would ya? I was thinking a pre-cruise get together or sumpin.....??

Mardi Gras is Feb 5 - so we would miss it. But we can have our own fun... You and Paulie will have to rally the troops - since I haven't yet had the pleasure of meeting everyone (or anyone actually) - don't want them all sayin "Kathy Who?". And before you ask - I will prolly give that Jet Xpress direct from Jax to NOLA a try. If you get the feelin that people are willing - we can start a separate thread. I have to work Monday the 25th - Thursday morning.
Also - since you all have been - I will be looking for advice for good restaurants. I will be taking clients to dinner every night............

I was just about to go see when Mardi Gras was next year but ya'll answered my question. Put me down for a MAYBE.
Dan & Melissa will be there too. Hopefully Kat will be relocted somewhere in that part of the country by then.

| I may come in a day or two earlier if I can. Our convention doesn't actually start until the 3rd... I can't remember which hotel it's at, but I sent it to dan a while back... but I'm pretty sure it is the Sheraton on Canal... As it gets closer I'll know, but I should at the very least be able to come in on Saturday!! We've got about 1300 crazies that are going to be filling the streets that week, I can't wait!! I'll see what I can do about coming in even earlier... hopefully it won't be a problem!!

I work for a software/transactional services/ and processing company. Not the one that Homecomings uses....
But I bet you know a lot of people that I know. I know lots of peeps in TX - and one of my dear friends who works with me lives south of Dallas in Cleburne - you may know her - she is a default expert and Homecomings wanted her to work for them.

Yes - job security is right - we are all taking bets on who is next. Actually it is pretty sad - but was bound to happen. Lucky for me (and them) my clients are both A+. One of them will be busy pulling paper for one of the agencies. Was on the way to Dallas when the bankruptcy was filed last week.
But on to happier news!! YAY!! Party on Burbon Street - looks like we are getting a good grope together to meet in February.
I will be at the Hilton. All the crazies are prolly checking out on Thurs, Friday at the latest.

Dan (Selucrey) is our local expert. He lives just south of Nola & is in the FQ quite often. He will be happy to answer any questions over on the CC thread. I am there several times a year & will answer any questions I can. He's a member of a Mardi Gras krewe & believe me....those people know how to PARTY.
Go to http://www.neworleansonline.com & request a free Good Times Guide. Lots of good info there.
Hilton is a very nice hotel. Good sports bar there called Kabbey's. Located just across the street from Harrah's & connected to the Riverwalk Mall. Great view of the Miss River & cruise ships in port there. Trolley is also right outside the Hilton. Quick & easy ride to the French Quarter, French Market, Cafe du Monde, Margaritaville.
