Hey Rich, go ahead and reserve as many afts as you can. (Just dont put me next to BAMA, I hear he snores)
I vote for a cruise! Whats the count Nipper?
I think the majority of the votes are for a cruise. Since it's so early, I think we should keep the land-resort as a 2nd choice.
What do you guys think? Or, do you just want to declare the cruise the winner and blow off the resort?
But, before we go with CCL, I want to see the dates, ships & itineraries for RCCL. Of course, we could decide on a CCL ship and put down a deposit just so those who want it "in the aft" can get it!!!!!!! Then, if we decide on another ship, you'll get your deposit back!
I'm down with reserving an aft!!
I bet you say that every day in San Fran !

| It depends on the port of embarkation and the ship.

OK, here's my take on the cruise situation:
1) We will have to wait till April or May to see what NCL and RCCL offers....
2) Does anyone have anything against either of those 3 lines? In other words, will we consider all 3 lines--NCL, RCCL and CCL..........& see who has the best itinerary and price?
3) WHoever wants an aft cabin, think about putting down a deposit on whichever CCL we narrow it down to. That way, if CCL wins the vote, you'll have your aft. If NCL or RCCL wins, you can get your deposit back!!
4) Do we want to have a vote on the 3 CCL cruises? (If so, I'll need to research a bit...I've never been on CCL).

I have no problem with any of the three lines. NCL would be new for me. My biggest obstacle will be my husband!

Doesnt matter to me! So have we at least picked a date? Are we looking at leaving the 10th/11th or the 17th/18th weekend?
An aft woujld be nice but if PE is getting the GV if we go on NCL then we have the party room!

Memorial Day weekend 2008 is May 24-25-26, I think. If we went the week of May 17/18, that would put us traveling back in the airports on Mem Day weekend.
I might rather go the weekend of May 10/11. Deb, can you go that weekend?
Does anyone have a preference on a Sat or Sun departure? I would prefer a Sunday departure, for the same reason as the Crown/Dawn FUBAR. (my DH doesn't get off work Friday till usually around 7pm....we cannot get a flight out of Raleigh that late Friday night). I usually like to fly down the night before.
But, if everyone votes on a Sat departure, we would just have to catch the first flight out on Sat. morning and hope we don't get delayed.........

Just a thought on flying over Memorial Day weekend...since a lot of people have Monday off, Saturday & Sunday travel shouldn't be that bad. It would even give folks an extra day to recuperate after they get home.
May 10-11 is Mother's Day weekend. I don't know how that might affect some of the people here.
