Here is one I had booked a couple years ago that I had to cancel but have been wanting to rebook....each room/cabin has their own day bed and hammock right on their large covered porch/patio and a hot tub in each room as well....you can also use any of the other 6 or 7 palace resorts at no extra charge with shuttles running between them..

http://www.palaceresorts.com/Resorts/XpuPalace/Index.asp

and Bama..there are golf add ons! :D

We have been looking at that place since it opened!  I remember it being about half again the price of the others in the area!  Didnt look like much of a beach if I remember right?

Yeah..the only thing that would concern me is there seems to be no ightclub on site and if we were in a group a disco would be fun for nighttime fun...I looked at "your" occidental place and it said 14 bars but it wasn't specific if there was a disco/club among them....lots of restarants is a plus as well!

We also looked at the Adventura Palace since it is adult only but its kinda like a spa primarily it looks like, this one has basicly nobeach..all rocks but I think X Pu Ha or whatever its called does have a beach and the calmer lagoon as well!

Beach

No, I'm all about the cruise!!!! Bama just threw in a suggestion for a land-based vacation!

Mike's the one that mentioned the all-inclusive.  Denise is off the hook, this time at least.

Thanks, Rich!      I thought it was Bama that introduced the resort.

Denise----------> thinks Bama might be trying to mess up the voting again! :dude:

Rummie and I might be up for a CTT cruise in May of '08. That is our typical Spring cruise timeframe.

That would be fab, John!!!!!!  Any thoughts/suggestions?  We were thinking of a western itinerary, so we could go see PB Tom & gets some free drinks!!!!  But I am open to an eastern, too.
I think as Rich stated earlier, that most of the cruise lines don't have itineraries posted this far out.
THe land based resort sounds good, too, but I don't think I could talk my DH into staying there for a whole week. 5 days would probably be his limit at a land-based resort.

Western would probably be my preference also. We are doing Eastern in April. Then in October we are doing Eastern/Southern/Western.

I would like to get back and dive with Papa Hog in Cozumel again. PB might be a little tough if we dive in Coz.

I agree with your DH about land based vacations. Sort of like fish and company after three days.

The last time Rummie and I were in Coz, we had a private dive on a fast boat with Papa Hog. It was Cynthia's first drift dive and it hooked her.

We did not get out over the wall. For the first drift dives, for Cynthia, I wanted to stay up on the flats. Still great dives. Just a little less scary for her.

:roflmao:If he's counting them from Walton's Mountain, I'm gonna wring his neck!

Okay, I'm up for another western in '08 if I can get DH to agree to something eastern this year. Dates are pretty tight for me though.  After mid-month in May and before the first of June is the only window I have in the month of May. Any ship will do!

Personally, I would prefer not to go the weekend of Memorial Day (May 26)..........

so, how does  May 10 or May 17 sound?  Can you go as early as May 10, Deb?

No, I can't get away that early in the month. I'm working my butt off now on the March issue and the ride along catalog that goes with it every year. In May and June we'll be working nose to the grindstone on our biggest issue of the year (July) along with the extras that go with it.
