Mr T.......I keep BEGGING Bama to plan a FOMT cruise for Nov 07!!! He is embarrassed that he planned a cruise for next year and it turned out to be a Bear's cruise! We all have had a good laugh at that, but I'm not sure if Bama will ever get over that............
My DH's birthday is in Nov and I would love to join you guys...........Plansersedge assured me non-FOMT could cruise with you, too!!!!!!

You are already a FOMT and dont' know it! Yes, of course you can cruise with us as long as you adhere to a strict rule of conduct. I'll share that with the group on another post.
So let's get down to brass tacks here......Should we have another "FOMT Survivor" like we did the year we got "blown out" of the SS Norway??? As I recall, this is how it worked........
The first couple of weeks, each person or couple (in Bamas case it could be him and his new "partner") nominates a ship/itinerary. After we get a number of candidates, say 12, every week, we vote one or two off the list. The first week or two, we vote two off, then one per week after that until we get down to the last one. In the past, only veterans of the FOMT wars, er, cruises have been eligible to vote, but we might bend the rules a bit if a newby has a good suggestion!
Here are a few guidelines for this process:
1) It should be a 7 day cruise. A lot of people have a hard time getting more time than that off work. But anything less is just not enough!
2) It should be on an affordable cruiseline. One of the main lines like NCL, CCL, RCI, Celebrity, Princess. That way folks who don't have a big budget can still afford to come with us. It's OK to have a wide range of cabins with some in suites and some in insides. Besides, we usually end up practically taking over the ship anyway!
3) It probably should be a E., W.or S. Caribbean cruise. The airfare to Miami/FLL or even San Juan is pretty reasonable and they're fun starting points. A Mexican Riviera cruise is not out of the question, but Europe, Australia or the SE Asia is a little out of the budget. Besides, the Caribbean is always warm that time of year and its always a party looking for partygoers!
4) We'll keep the nominations open for at least until December, maybe January. By that time, a lot of us will have the winter blues and really have cruising on our minds! But let's limit ourselves to no more than a couple of nominations per person.
If that sounds OK, then let the games begin. Feel free to make a few suggestions and throw a few ideas around. I'll post a nomination or two in the next few days.

I can hardly stand the waiting to hear what the ROC will be.............:popcorn:
I am assuming you vote one or two SHIP suggestions off the list, not one or two passengers off the list!
OK, that's a great idea.............I'll start compliling my list soon.
What about deciding on a date? (date for cruising, that is!!!!!)

We would love to join you. But, I do believe we have made our plans for our 25th anniversary next year. We will be taking our 25th cruise for our 25th anniversary aboard the Norwegian Dawn out of New York. It is a 14 day reposition cruise through the Eastern, Southern and Western Caribbean winding up in Miami.
