Last minute, spur of the moment, husband thinks I'm crazy decision and I can't wait.  Just my sister and I, letting our husbands deal with the kids...this will be a first.

I've always wanted to try Princess, so now I only have to wait 6 weeks!

Way to go!!!!!  I've been on about 6-7 Princess cruises, but never on the Caribbean Princess.  I'm sure you'll have fun..it's on par with RCCL.

Does the Caribbean Princess have MUTS?

Somehow, I just don't think I'd like MUTS.  I like to go outside to rest, relax and read a good book. I'm not sure how I could do that with the movie blasting away all day long.....

It's funny, you really don't hear it until you're right there. It's fun; eating popcorn and feeling the breeze (in our case, the gale force wind, lol) blowing by. It's rather surreal.

As usual...a day late and a dollar short.  LOL.

There are places you can go to avoid MUTS...aft pool (but sometimes the sun is blocked by the "shopping cart handle) and lido deck aft.

Are these other pool areas on the same deck as an elevator? My mom has a walker and can't climb up to a deck without elevator access.

If I remember correctly there were stairs get to the aft pool from the lido deck and a
a small staircase to get to it from the riviera deck.

Thanks, Scott!
That's what I was afraid of..........so it's only the main pool area (with the MUTS) that we can get to.......
Well, we might try it eventually, but I think for now, we'll stick with a cruise line that doesn't have MUTS.  I know it is very popular, but I don't think I would care for it. (JMHO)

This is the best picture I could find (hope I don't get spanked since it's from another site)

It looks like the aft pool on the Grand/Golden. I've been on them! Is the CP a sister ship to Grand/Golden?

Pretty close.  The Caribbean, Crown, & Emerald are larger versions (basically an extra deck) of the Grand class.

Well, that's a bummer, because I really disliked the layout of the Grand/Golden. They were my 2 least favorite Princess ships.

Well, I did go on the CB and I loved it, I'm officially a Princess cheerleader (rah-rah).

We did the anytime dining and it worked very well.  It was just me and sis, so we got a table with others right away, met really nice, interesting people every night.

I loved the MUTS at night, never had a problem getting a seat just had a problem staying awake!  I never was around the lido deck during the day, we hung by the AFT pool, so the MUTS running all day didn't bother me.  It would've had I been sitting there, it would be just like home, me yelling at the kids to turn the damn TV off!

I thought the food was very good, loved the paddle tennis, thought the atmosphere was nice without being formal.  I wouldn't hesitate to book Princess again.

In fact, I just did.  We're going back on the CB this April on one of the 4 nighters Princess just announced.  We weren't going to cruise again this year because I couldn't get away from the family for a week, so the 4 nighter is perfect!
