We need to build up our HAL forums over here.  I've only cruised on HAL once, but we had a great time & would like to go on another HAL cruise.
But, we're going on a Panama Canal cruise in April, so can't join ya in May, although we would like to do Alaska again!!!

I just fbound and joined this site yesterday, but I will keep returning and hopefully eventually more people will come here also.

Any comments about what you saw or did in Alaskan for a first timer as a must see or do?

Hope you enjoy your trip to Panama ...I'll have to catch that on a future cruise.

I have to say that the Panama Canal cruise is a must for every serious cruiser. The day you go thru the canal is a wonder!

Unfortunately, I don't really remember any of our shore excursions by name, other than the railroad ride in Skagway, I beleive. It was about 3 hours and we had a great time. Our cruise was way back in '95, so I'm sorry I can't really help you. We went to Juneau, Skagway and Sitka. The scenery was beautiful and I would love to go back!!

What are your ports of call?

We don't really do ship shore excursions but prefer to do it on our own.

As for out itinerary we will be in;

Ketchikan (twice), Juneau (twice), Skagway (once), Seward (once) and Haines (once).

No matter what we do I am sure it will all be interesting, fun and beautiful.
