I just discovered this airline and flew it last weekend. It was great and I had better service on it that on most of the bigger main-stream airlines!

I flew from Raleigh, NC to Jacksonville, Fla. It was a regional jet with 2 seats on one side, and 1 on the other.

*  Both flights were on time.
*  The leather seats were very comfortable and clean.  There was XM radio available & they gave out FREE headsets to those that didn't have their own.  Really nice touch!
*  The flight attendant (both flights) were friendly and funny. Not the bored, surly attitude that you see on most every flight with the bigger airlines.  The gate agents were friendly, too, with a good sense of humor.
*  On the flight from Raleigh to Jacksonville (only an hour flight), they gave out a turkey/cheese sandwich and 2 packs of Oreo cookies!  For an hour flight!  You won't see that done on any of the bigger airlines, not even on a 2-hr flight!!  On the return flight, there were assorted snacks/cookies with more choices that on the bigger airlines.

From now on, I will see if ExpressJet is flying where I want to go before I check on the bigger airlines.  I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Was all that food free? You sure don't see that much at ALL these days. I haven't tried this particular airline yet. Not even sure if they fly out of our major airport. The closest I've come to what you describe was on Midwest. Fresh baked chocolate chip cookies on the way home and some decent meals if you were willing to pay for them.

Yes, it was free, Deb and I was amazed!  You don't even get a sandwich on a 2-hr flight on the big airlines, much less on an hour's flight!

I was very impressed and plan to fly them again.  I know they have a non-stop flight from Raleigh to New Orleans, as well as Kansas City!!!!! :big grin:

They're also the $1 beer airline!  :drink:

I've looked into flying them a couple of times, but since they have limited daily flights the schedules have just never really fit into mine.

OK, now they've either got to start flying up here, or I'm gonna have to move.

I agree with Denise - being a former hard core Delta flyer (a points at all costs gal) I took Express Jet to NOLA - nonstop from Jax. And now I am spoiled. I loved the fact that I was there in 1-1/2 hours - no waiting in ATL or CVG. It was fabulous. Now I am always looking for a non-stop on whatever airline. The service was great - I sure hope they expand the cities they fly into. :proud:
