Never heard of them.  But I've just booked them to Florida.

JetBlue competitor.  They seem to have decent fares to the places you want to go.... except Missouri!

Hey, we have AirTran here...  and yeah, they are cheap - haven't flown them yet though.

We just don't have JetBlue.  :shoot me:

They used to be Valujet that had the plane that buried itself in the Everglades.

ValuJet Airlines was a low-cost carrier that operated in the Southeastern United States during the 1990s. After a series of safety problems and the fatal crash of ValuJet Flight 592, the company executed a reverse merger with the much smaller regional airline AirWays Corp., now known as AirTran Holdings; thus, ValuJet now operates as AirTran Airways.

I thought JetBlue used to be Valujet.  That's what I initially was going to respond with, but then thought I was told it was JetBlue.  Go figure.

In 2001, JetBlue began a focus city operation at Long Beach in Los Angeles County, and another at Logan International Airport, Boston in 2004. It also has focus city operations at Fort Lauderdale, Oakland

I've flown AirTran a couple of times.  Nothing special (but none of the domestic carriers are now), but they're pretty reliable.  I wouldn't hesitate to fly them again.

That's what we are flying also.  I do think that their planes are all new.  Yes, they started out as ValueJet  but that was a looong time ago.

Crossing fingers and toes for both of us! Lol. :big grin:

No.  White Plains.  I haven't flown out of there since my father flew us around as kids in his plane.  That's probably 40 years ago or more.

Most of the people flying are from Westchester, and I think it's the closest airport to us.  20 minutes.

Air Tran is as bad as any of them:shock:, no difference. The last flight on US Airways looked like the plane was falling apart.
