I hope it's a short train! We're sailing on 9/21 from NYC on a Canada/New England itinerary, and I'd like them all to be gone well before we sail!

Pretty low for November ..... but still possible, the season ends in November but with global warming who knows

Hmmmm there is a good chance that time of year, but we have sailed in Sept thru November for the last 25 years and only had brushes with a few ! It adds to the experience ! Besides there are plenty of safe harbors along the coast

My own belief is Ike will be strong and big enough to do some shearing of Josephine since she will be so close behind.
I think it will be how much time she has to build after Ike hits land and weakens.
She's got some good winds for no longer than she has been formed but the organization doesn't seem to be as good.
Another day or two might tell different.

With winds of only 30 mph, Josephine has lost her tropicaal storm status and is once again a tropical depression.
The 3 day forecast shows no signs of building.

Since they've stopped updating the status of Josephine, let us hope her short life is over. RIP Josephine.
