We now have Tropical Depression Eight, forecasted to become Tropical Storm Hanna later today, and a hurricane over the weekend. By the middle of next week it may bear watching in the Eastern Caribbean islands and on the east coast of the U.S., but there's plenty of time for it to change between now and then.

Looks like the Gulf states could get hit Monday night and the east coast a few days later. If that isn't enough, there is another wave to the east of this one that looks like it could form.
September may make cruise line brass think early retirement.

I have a weird mind that works in ways best not thought about. But Hanna makes me wonder.
Is this Hard Hearted Hanna(h) reincarnated, and is she planning on a return to Savannah?

They are talking that Gustav will give us more rain here in the NC Piedmont....and then there could be Hannah....
FTLOG we went for two years in drought conditions.....Now we have possibly three in a row?

Hanna hasn't been doing much but drifting slowly along. It was originally projected to head for the Florida straights.
This morning, winds picked up to 60 mph. Now after visiting the Bahamas, they think it will turn NW and head towards..................Savanah.

DH and I are really going to have to watch this. He HAS to be back to work next Monday, so we were going to drive back next Sunday. Looks like we will be driving along I-95 as Hannah barges up towards NC! 
Well, we'll probably be the only ones on the road drivng TOWARDS the hurricane....
I may just tell DH that he can buy a commercial airline tic and go himself!!!!!!
