The news said this morning that so far we've had 19" of snow and it's not even winter yet. Compare that to the 17" TOTAL all of last year and you know we're in for a loooooooooong winter :finger:

There's plenty of snow.  Guess the kids will be finding out what a snowball is, although most of it's been too fluffy for snowballs (except for the coating of ice on top).

Have a safe flight.  Sorry my schedule doesn't work out this time around!

Might have to settle for Dunkin's off 93.

There are.  I drive by one each day to get to the highway.  But where Rich lives in relation to the highway and your trek to Maine, there is nothing around there.  You should actually be getting on 95 to go to Maine and not staying on 93, but you can do it by heading 93 north to stop in Windham.  Not much in Windham by way of modern conveniences like that.  They are trying to keep it quaint, isn't that right Rich?  Oh wait, they did finally approve a measure to build a high school for the town.

I will picking up my sister on Thursday morning at 9am.  Gonna try and meet Deb and Rich if they can work it out about 8 as close to the airport as possible!

Rich, Pardon my geographic ignorance but where exactly is Windham? I'm supposed to meet a friend in Lowell for a concert this afternoon and she's driving in from Somersworth, just curious if you are near her.

Looks like we already have 5 here at the hotel in Billerica.

OK, need to vent. It drives me crazy that all the stations feel the need to spend hours looking at the snow fall. First off, HELLO it's New England, snow happens and secondly, for the most part things don't change often enough that I need to see your reporter every 10 minutes showing me how nasty the weather is. I can look out the window for that!

Where in Billerica did you end up staying?  There probably aren't many hotels here.  Windham?

Another nice day in the 40's. The only snow left around here are the piles where the plows left them. We're due for a 30% chance Saturday/Sunday when we're on the road, but it's doubtful it will cause any problems. We've travelled the same roads when they were snow packed.

Looks like NH is a bust this trip for me but if any CTTers find themselves in Southern Maine over the Holidays (Portlands Old Port waterfront maybe).  Anyone doing some last minute Christmas shopping at LL Bean?   I would love to get a beer or two or three or four or five, etc..............PM me and I will give you my cell.

All the ice and snow is still frozen rock solid.  You can actually walk on the snow without breaking through.

I also looks quite nice relecting the sunlight, and at night, all the Christmas decorations.  On other lawns....NOT MINE!:shoot me:  Oh well, there's always next year.

Yup, Wyndham just off route 3. Nice hotel but hardly Lowell or Chelmsford as Hotwire claimed!

In the 30's and clear today, but they're talking about a possible foot this weekend-  Wouldn't care, but my kids will be traveling up here, not to mention many others out on the roads.  Maybe you should hear to the midwest if you want snow. . .:P

Yeah, but will the School Board ever get their heads out of their butts and get it open for all four grades?  The ones that want to keep it quaint are the same Massholes that came up here and want all the services they had in MA and are responsible for our taxes being out of control.  :flamin:  Can't have it both ways.

BTW, there is a plan for a Starbucks in town.  Doesn't matter, I prefer DD than Starbucks overpriced coffee anyway!

That's too funny.  I can see the Wyndham from my building.  No, not Chelmsford or Lowell, but not too far either.  Nicer than staying in Lowell though.
