A couple of inches on the ground so far this morning with a few more to go before it turns to sleet and freezing rain.

We've had nothing but sleet and freezing rain since midnight.  What an annoying sound on the windows all night. :shoot me:

It just switched to snow now.  Snow on top of ice.....GREAT!

It should have switched to all rain by 2AM.

Wrong again, weather guys. :finger:

It finally dropped below freezing just before dark yesterday and we ended up with just a light dusting on the grass before it moved on.

It will soon be gone as they are calling for sun and 40 degrees today.   It may get a little warmer than that as they said it would get into the mid teens last night but we only got down to 28.

Sounds like the same kind of storm we had a couple weeks ago-except we had ice on top of snow!

Clear and cold here this am-maybe up to 20 later-great weather for the Packers to host the Rams at Lambeau! :big grin:

Probably about 3-4" on the ground right now with a little sleet mixing in, and forecasts of 5-9" before it changes to sleet/freezing rain/rain, and then a flash freeze.

Rich, Pardon my geographic ignorance but where exactly is Windham? I'm supposed to meet a friend in Lowell for a concert this afternoon and she's driving in from Somersworth, just curious if you are near her.

Looks like we already have 5 here at the hotel in Billerica.

OK, need to vent. It drives me crazy that all the stations feel the need to spend hours looking at the snow fall. First off, HELLO it's New England, snow happens and secondly, for the most part things don't change often enough that I need to see your reporter every 10 minutes showing me how nasty the weather is. I can look out the window for that!

We finally got our first big snowfall in Michigan here (before, it was less than a couple of inches, total, I think).  Last night, depending on where you are, you got up to 8 or 9 inches - I THINK we got about 6 - I haven't dared go outside and look.  It's still snowing, and we're supposed to get maybe 6 more during the day.

In the Detroit area, I just checked the news website, and all the churches have closed for the day, generally.  You know it's bad when there's no church service in Detroit.

You're closer to me than she is.  We're only three towns away from Lowell (Dracut/Pelham NH/Windham).  I wouldn't want to be driving in from Somersworth today.

BTW, if you're expecting to see Kenny Rogers at the Tsongas Arena today, it's postponed.

Not a pretty picture for those who have to get out. That freezing rain hit us on Tuesday and lots of things were closed as a result. I hope you don't have to get out in this stuff!

I saw the postponement at 10am and luckily before my friend had left home. Hightailed home and am making a pork roast for lunches this week and chicken soup for dinner.

Glad you made it home safely.

We've got about 7-8" on the ground.  I've already made one pass with the snowblower, now settled in to watch the Pats kick some NYJ butt.

I bet Mangini thought he had a chance when they disallowed that touchdown!

How sweet it is!

The Jets gave the game away.  Not a very good showing for the Pats, but a win's a win.

Hey, I did that too.  Clear it out, watch the game then go back out to clean it back up again.  What a sucky day outside yesterday, glad I had no where to go.  Although I was tempted to go down to the Nashua Mall at Exit 6 and get in the Fox25 News camera.  They kept showing her with all the snow falling and a plow in the background.  Breaking News .... its snowing in Nashua, here is footage..... :big grin:

Really?  You can have some.  We have snowbanks now that are really high.  Barely see over them in the car.  I will try and take some pics.  and remember this is only December and not evenly technically Winter yet.  Someone send me a can of global warming to melt this stuff?  Thanks.

Guess we were on the same schedule.  I made my second (and final) pass after the game was over too.

It actually warmed up a bit here today. Must have been in the 40's since it's dark and it's still 39 degrees outside.
