You go Gladys!!! :big grin:

All is calm, all is bright . . . Okay, so it's calm. ;) It's very overcast outside and everything is in shades of white and gray. Streets good, traffic cautious, below freezing most of the day so the ice and snow will be with us for a while.

what's with this?? is this a new method of plowing...
-bring in the freeway graders, and make crop circles in the middle of your subdivision court???
this nut bar backed up on my street 33 x this morning at 0655, then drove circles (about 65x) around a pile of snow in the center of the street circle.
Don't those graders wreck the pavement? There's paint chips flying off my walls this morning..... the dog took off shaking and hiding.
They're mad I tell you...... last week was final yard waste day. Rule #1- have all yard waste bagged, tied and sorted and on curb by 0700 Monday am - DONE
Ok, it's 9 days later, snowed and rained like heck, and everyone's yard waste was picked up except for ours...... there's 11 frkn bags out there... STUFFED, and Frozen, now mounded with snow...........
Time for me to take on town hall ....... again (I really am getting like Gladys Kravitz)

I think you need to stop for a drank and a dip in the hot tub, missy!

That sounds like an excellent idea Cindy! It's pretty living in a crystal forest with the snow (and ice) on the ground. A perfect setting for a hot tub!

We are getting something like 6" tomorrow.  I just had to move the office Christmas party to next week.

I figured you'd be getting something up there. I've been watching the storm track. Let's hope it's snow and not ice!

The nice thing is that I now work 3.1 mile from home.  Heart doesn't have to be in my throat to get there.

Looks like tomorrow with a high of 35 will be our only chance of some sunshine and melting. Snow due in on Friday night/Saturday morning. Not much accumulation expected. Now if the bad stuff will just hold off until after Christmas, I'll be happy!

Yes the Geminids will be peaking Friday and OF COURSE we'll be socked in with clouds. :flamin:

There is nothing and I mean nothing that beats watching them streak by from the upper decks (or the roof of the wheelhouse hehe) while underway 100's of miles offshore.

The only thing I can think of that would top that would be way up north gliding precariously amongst glaciers in dead calm seas with the auora's flaring overhead catching their mirror images off the calm seas.

We'll probably be under cloud cover too. Dave, you make it all sound so wonderful. I'd love to see both the meteor shower and the Northern Lights.

Yes, the Northern lights are beautiful and fascinating.  Especially gorgeous when I lived in the UP. . .

Our "little accumulation" snow starting tomorrow into Saturday has been changed to 4-6 inches and more the further south you live in the metro.

I hope those of you who are already getting this stuff are taking it easy on the roads. We want you home safe!

Looks to be about 6-7" right now, and it should be about over in the next hour or so.  Another larger storm is forecast for Sat. night/Sunday.

The southwest keeps sending us storms and we keep forwarding them on to you! At least you aren't getting the ice. The sun came out today and melted a lot of it off of the trees.

Several inches of snow on the ground now, maybe 3. Everything looks pretty and traffic isn't a problem.

We got around 5"...  although it's still lightly snowing, so hopefully we don't get more overnight.  :shoot me:
