We had sleet, snow, rain, sleet and snow!  More snow tonight.  School closed today as did 500 other VT schools.  Police stated to only be driving if you absolutely had to.  I dislike winter.  Why do I live in a state with four seasons...1.  almost winter, 2.  winter, 3.  still winter, and 4. construction!

Coka who would rather be :tropics:

I saw Vancouvers little misfortune  hahahahahaah..........:big grin::big grin::big grin::big grin: maybe they should "call in the army" hahahaahahahahahah:big grin:
Isn't it Toronto that's been known to call in the army when getting a little bit of snow?:help:.  A good source of entertainment for us Montrealers:roflmao:.  All in good fun...I hope everyone stays safe!

We got over 30 cm here with another 5 expected overnight.  The kids had a snow day today which is almost better than Christmas morning for them:confused:.  I managed to get to work (and on time) only to get a phone call in the parking lot, being told to go home. The company closed for the day!

yes, those Torontonian wimps...... I've seen snippets of their storm, and they had sporadic areas of snow or rain.........we've had the whole gammit for 2 days.
Thought we were going to lose the roof last night...... poor dog didn't know which closet to get into. He was under the covers, in the closet, pacing the spare rooms for closets, in and out of all his Fawkerized self soothing domes we built all over the house. He shooked, the old man snored, and I lay there all night wondering when the new roof was going to become airborne.
Quebec should be in great shape as we speak.... Enjoy :big grin: They say it should be over by tomorrow lunch in my area, so you'll get relief soon. Has the seaway frozen over yet:big grin:

Coka, my Mom lives near Montpelier and they have over a foot and it's not supposed to stop until 2:00pm tomorrow.  Sure wish we had some of that snow down here in the Hudson Valley.

My sister's in Raleigh and tells me the same thing.  She mentioned many people don't seem to be taking this seriously enough.

You can offer my wife and I a free vacation in a condo with a balcony and I can assure you that you will have rain.   We can do a cruise with no rain but never a land vacation.   I don't know why I insist that our condos always have balconies.   We never get to use them.

A couple of months ago we went into the mountains of north Georgia.   We couldn't get out of our car to look at the lake Atlanta gets its water from.   It was raining too hard.   If we could have stayed a couple of weeks, their water problems would be over.

LMAO!!!!!  That would be Lake Lanier and it's now almost empty of water!  You should see pictures of it!  It's terrible.
I think the governor would BUY you a house on the lake if you'd go and make it rain!!! :roflmao:

I'm not sure about Raleigh (we are about an hour east of Raleigh), but we have been under mandatory water restriction for about 6 weeks. Lawns and shrubs are dying, streams and rivers are drying up, no water for the wildlife.......it's really bad.
No car washing, no watering your lawn, no water in restaurants unless you ask for it.....

We have a condo with balcony starting this Saturday on the lake in Hot Springs, AR.   We will visit family, shop, and take some spa treatments.

Right now, they are calling for rain Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

We have a 2002 Chevy Impala that we bought new 6 years ago this month.   It has never been more than four hours away from Branson without having to use the windshield wipers.

I can't believe you guys are still in that drought from last summer!  And I thought we had it bad back then!  Usually up here you just need to wash your car, plan an outdoor wedding, or go camping to make it rain. . .

It's snowing again today.  Another 2-4 inches expected. . .

Too bad they can't send some of that rain they got in Washington/Oregon down to you folks in the southeast. Terrible flooding out that way.

Wowsa, the snow is looking better and better after reading about no water and droughts!  I would love to send it down.  Gregandamy, you are correct...it stopped about 2pm.  Okay, I will trade your sunny condo and you can have my house and go skiing all you want.  Soon, you can even go ice fishing!  It is fun fun fun!

We had about 3 inches of snow just north of Cincinnati this morning - you would have thought the world had come to an end!  I teach school and they cancelled the whole day!!!  Wonder what will happen when we really get some snow??!!

No kidding.  Kids were out on Monday here because of 3-4 inches in the morning.  You'd think we lived in North Carolina or something.
