A little update.   Felix has weakened just a bit today with the pressure rising and winds dropping a few MPH.   It looks like it has peaked out and may remain a Cat 5 or may drop to a Cat 4 before landfall.

A pressure ridge to its north is predicted to hold for the next 24 hours or longer meaning Felix will stay on a westerly course and not turn north.   If it stays the course, it will hit the border of Nicaragua and Honduras tomorrow.   This means it will stay over land longer and lose a lot of it's punch.   Not good for Honduras but is very good news for Belize and Guatamala as it will be more of a rain event without the higher winds and storm surge.  Flooding will be their main issue.

If it stays this course, what's left of it will hit south of Belize City near the Guatamala border.

Still not a good situation, but the weakening is a blessing.
