My quess from what I have seen on that thread nobody will know or remember if they were on a ship or not. Things should be rocking and rolling just like a ship in a storm.

Didn't you ever go cruising in your car

How are we suppossed to know if we are loser material tomorrow today?  Could be loser material, because I was planning on going to the lake riding Seadoos and drinking champagne and grilling steaks, and the weather is predicted to be rainy and yucky.... so I may stay home and play golf instead....

A true Friday night loser knows sometimes weeks in advance of their loser status.  Some Friday night losers don't even know what day it is so it don't really matter!

I've been to 3 of those things in KC (or is it 4?) and you are absolutely correct. ;)

I'm done with workshops for the week - yeah!!!! Of course, that means school is that much closer.... Tomorrow I go in REALLY EARLY to set up my room - Monday is the first official day for staff. (If I go in later, the south sun will make moving furniture unbearable, so I plan to be at work at 7:30.)

Ahhhh, it's getting to be that time of year again. Most school districts in the metro have already started back to school. I remember when I was a kid we didn't start until after Labor Day.

Current state law in Michigan says we can't start before Labor Day, and I think mandates that teachers can't be in session the Friday before.  We work M-W next week, and then kids start on the 2nd.  The reasoning behind this legislation was to boost tourism, but I don't know if it's helped.  In all honesty, it just means, due to other laws that mandate hours of instruction, that we go way into June, which hurts tourism as well.

Exactly!
The water was coming over our seawall and it came up about 15' into our yard!
Our neighbor's dock somehow broke in two...the middle part is completely gone.  And someone's dock evidently got destroyed, because we saw big pieces of it floating by this afternoon, one huge piece complete with a light and a metal ladder!!!
