| Welcome back Kathy. Sounds like a great time. Anything off the strip will pay off better than on the strip. I had good luck at the Orleans last time we were there.

So, has anyone else been to Vegas lately?? Any other advice for Cindy and I?? It is only about 7 weeks til we leave.
Has anyone been in Vegas during Nascar week?? How bad are the crowds?? I did not even know there was such a thing a Nascar week until I tried to book our hotel!!

Hey, Laurie! Long time no hear! I'm getting anxious for our trip!
Someone started a new thread here-"Just Who Are You?" You should check it out-it's so people can tell a little about themselves, and maybe post a pic or two.
Don't forget our S&S4 thread, either! Also, a lot of us gab during the day on the "Early Morning" thread, or "Cocktail Hour" or "Funnel Deck" thread later in the day. . .if you click on the "recent" button when you are on this site, you can tell which ones are active at the moment. . .

| I have a work conference in Phoenix in a couple of weeks, and I am going to fly back to Vegas, and my wife is flying the low cost Allegiant flight to Vegas for Friday night, and then we will come back Monday. So, 3 nights in Vegas. We have tickets for Love which we saw last year (Best show ever), and we have tickets for Le Reve Sunday night (which is at the Wynn and is produced by the guy that did O at the Bellagio for Cirque du Soleil and I saw when it first opened). We are going to drive out to Hoover dam and to the Valley of Fire one of the days. We are staying at the Hilton because it was the only hotel I could get a reasonable deal at for that weekend. So, maybe I will do the Star Trek stuff at the Hilton Friday afternoon before the wife arrives.

Go to this link. You'll find all the info you could ever imagine about Vegas shows. And if you go to the main page you can read for days about everything in Vegas. One tip for looking at this board. The default is to only show threads from the past day so you look at it and think, that's it? If you scroll down near the bottom of the page under "Display Options" in the section where it says "From the," change from the default of "last day" to "last year" and then you'll see tons of threads. I hope that made sense.

The Wynn is beautiful and the Encore (being built right next door) may be close to being finished. I have played there some - not a lot. I have not seen La Reve - but the guy who danced with Mel B (his name escapes me at the moment) in Dancing with the Stars is the choreographer for that show, so it should be very good!!

Maks!! That's right...duh!  Believe me I would if I could. I will be in NOLA for a conference at that time. And then there is this wedding coming up - not to mention the engagement party that is getting about as big as the wedding - since the party is being held at my house in FL and the wedding is in GA. Gotta keep my money in my pockets this year......
