Happy Thanksgiving eveyone!!!  Took yesterday off to avoid the traffic mess (sure glad I did; it was pretty crappy around here).  It's just the four of us today:  Me, DH, DS, and DD.  Did most of the cooking yesterday.  So, it'll be a big breakfast this morning:  bacon, sausage, pancakes, coffee.  Pull up a chair!  We have plenty.

We'll be doing the traditional thing:  turkey, stuffing, mashed potatos, green beans, rolls, cranberry sauce, salad, and of course pumpkin pie!  Then, I'll be leaving here at 4:30 a.m. tomorrow to join the MAM (Massess At the Mall).  I know I'm crazy.  But, I get a thrill being in the crowds at Christmas time.

Have a GREAT Turkey Day everyone!

I'm thankful for the freedom we enjoy here.  And, I'm very thankful for all my CTT Friends!

OceanGirl ~ you are always welcome to join us!!!  Grab a chair and slide on up to the table.  The turkey aroma is killing me!!!  I've had the bird in the oven almost 3 hours now and the dog is going absolutely nutso!!!

Yep, I've already mapped out my route:  what I'm getting at what stores and when I'll be there.  I do it every year.  And, I get a real kick out of it!!!  Last year, I was standing in line at Target and there was a woman in front of me who was dressed to the nines:  gorgeous suit, make up perfect, hair perfect, accessories perfect;  then there was a woman behind me who was wearing her bath robe, slippers, and curlers in her hair!!!  :holymoly:  The people are what entertain me.  And, I usually get about 75% of my Christmas shopping done.  I'll spend Saturday wrapping and then spend the next week or so getting the last minute stuff.  2 years ago, I didn't wrap early and was stuck literally ALL NIGHT Christmas Eve wrapping gifts.  Never again!!!

Happy T-Day all!!

So, is everyone full?  Asleep? Passed out?  Outside walking some of the meal off?

Just got back from my daughter's house and took a shower.  She did very well for her first time-even made her own mulled wine, which was quite tasty!  I was on guard, but surprisingly enough, didn't see even one deer the whole way!

Was hoping to hear from the one overseas, but didn't-:(  Hope they all had a great day, as good as can be, anyway. . .

God bless everyone and keep you all safe!  Gotta work tomorrow, so I won't be heading out with the nutty shoppers. . .

Hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving! Thanks ML!

I got to see all my family except one great-niece. Cold, very cold both there and here. Talk about stings the toes and bite the nose! ;)

LOL!!  you all know the drill!!  Go into Wal-mart for 2 Gallons of milk and a loaf of bread, and walk out sometime later with a basket load of groceries.. Note to self.. do not go grocery shopping while hungry!!  Oh and don't forget the $50 gas card.. that kind of shows that only $70 was merchandise.. Milk's $4 a gallon now!!

I know.. I know.. That is one reason why (if hungry.. I start at the deli for chicken bites) :big grin:  But gotta do what a dad's gotta do.. but what was even crazier is that the food side was empty but the GM side was crazy!!  But it's done!!!

happy thanksgiving all.   we went to my brothers (he lives 5 mins away).  it was very nice.  on,  friday morning dh and i flew to lauderdale and we flew back today (well technically since it's after midnight now, yesterday -- saturday).  a quick fri to sat trip to miami (we drove to miami from lauderdale).

we saw the liberty in port this morning as we were waiting for our return flight.  even snapped a couple of pics from the waiting area, and they actually came out!

needless to say, seeing the ship got me very psyched for our cruise.  we leave next saturday, and will be on the same flight returning, as we were today, lol.
