The Mission of Cruise Travel Talk is very simple. We want to provide a place that is unique in the web travel world that allows veteran and rookie travelers a place to share information and to hang out between vacations. The administrators of this site have spent a big portion of their lives participating in cruise and travel websites. None of us are professional travel agents, but we all have a passion for travel.  In fact, most of us are from widely divergent backgrounds outside of the travel industry. One of the experiences that we are hoping to create is a place where freedom of speech is not only allowed, but actually encouraged. Many travel forums are geared towards selling cruises by the travel agent owners of the sites. Those sites tend to discourage actual information that is controversial or against the interests of the controlling travel agency. We hope to build a real online community and we are not going to exclude points of view that we may not agree with.  We are going to be much different and we truly hope a lot better and more honest.

We really want our members to feel free to post what they really feel and have a great experience in our forum. Of course, it is helpful to try to post on topic and not about the poster. If your post is not related to the topic of the thread consider starting a new topic. We really want to provide the kind of experience that you have not been able to find at the other internet forums and we are, definitely, interested in hearing from you in order to fine tune our forum.

I think that is an excellent idea!  I know some of the big, "mega" cruise bulletin boards are full of information, but there is no feeling of "community" there.   And, on those sites, you do not feel free to express differing points of view, or express any dissatisfaction.  On some of those "mega" sites, the censorship is so strict that sometimes you cannot even post a candid review, for fear it will be pulled and deleted.
There will be no "Big Brother" feeling here and we welcome your candid reviews and opinions.

You said it perfectly!!!

Another thing is, we want this to be everyone's board.  The members of this board is what makes it a great source of information and a value to travelers.  We welcome your suggestions and feedback!  Please feel free to contact any of the Admins on here or by PM with any suggestions you have.  We are just in the beginning stages of what we all feel will be an excellent board!!  We are all thrilled that you are here and thank you for your contribution!

We are a small board and like it that way. We don't want to be big & impersonal like a lot of the big boards. We prefer more of a community feel, where our members are free to laugh and talk, joke around and chat amongst themselves.
We have a seperate forum (The Topless Deck), for non cruise-related topics.  We are free to discuss other interests here like football, reality shows, pets, books and other fun, everyday topics that aren't allowed at some of the other big boards.
We hope that you enjoy the difference!
