Just curious about if Costa Cruises allows agents to discount off of their commissions or if the prices are set in stone like RCI.

Don`t book much Costa. They are Carnival Corp. so I would assume the same rules apply as to Carnival. I hope that they don`t, giving away commissions is the cancer of this industry

Yes, their policy is the same as the rest of the Carnival family. I agree, Ann, commissions are low enough now (especially with all the added fuel surcharges...between that & taxes, on a typical 7-day cruise that's over $250 per person we get paid squat on).

Yet people expect us to discount, do a lot of extra work, and not come back next time if they get it $10.00 cheaper Never discounted.....never will. I may have fewer clients, but I have "quality" clients

| Thanks for your responses.....I personally would rather have efficient personalized service than a discount any day......I don't mind paying for quality.

In the UK the cruise lines are now offering discounts for booking direct on-line usualy around 5% .
But then 10% discount is the norm with TA's in the UK
