And are trying to find the best deal. Which is cheaper, a big suite or a balcony cabin with an inside across the hall? We like Norwegian the best, but are open to any line. So, it will be 2 adults, 4 kids. Sometime between mid June and late September. Also, we will need to leave from NY, NJ, Baltimore or Philly. Thank you for any advice or help you can give us!

Carnival with kids in tow is always a great choice.

Philly and Baltimore will be limited. I'd go with either Carnival out of NY, or more likely, Royal Caribbean out of Bayonne (oops, Cape Liberty). I'm not sure yet what NCL will have going from NY other than the Dawn to Bermuda.
RC's family suites are VERY expensive, and fill up fast. Carnival won't normally hold 6, even in their suites. In either case, you'd need to go with the balcony/inside, which would give you more peace & quiet (and privacy) anyway.

| We have taken a bunch of kids on a few cruises. The balcony with an inside across the hall is what works for us. NCl has great 3rd and 4th person rates. Our cruise last January came to $411 per kid. TOTAL.

Cruising from NY, NJ , Phil or Baltimore would be three Cruise carriers NCL, Royal Caribbean or Carnival.
For those few cruise ports those three cruise lines that are currently sailing from them. I believe Royal Caribbean is best for everyone especially kids who love adventure. Carnival is the 'Fun Ships' but remember they allow smoking in their cabis and kids can be sensitive to that.
NCL allows you to do whatever..they do have a kids program but I rank it third. These are my personal opinions but I hope these help.
As far as cabins, depending on what you are doing..some Royal Caribbean ships have connecting doors for two cabins - great for families!
