Yup, Carnival started it (Carnival Corp. wide), and Royal Caribbean followed. They're all just like the airlines, just a bunch of lemmings.
Fortunately, we don't normally sell air through the cruise lines, so this won't affect us at all. They're way overpriced to begin with, and if you want any choice in your flights, you pay extra on top of it. Somehow, I don't think that the cruiselines will reduce their airfares -- it's just an excuse to put more money in their pockets. I think that Carnival indicated that only about 12% of their travel agency bookings were made with cruiseline air.
