If your cruise travel agent does a follow-up profile, shortly after you return from your trip, kudos to him or her. That agent is on the threshold of providing excellent customer service.
On the other hand, if your agent does nothing, what is the message to you?
Cruise travel agents, like business people everywhere, are oftentimes too busy taking care of the next customer to do a follow-up profile with someone who has already traveled.
Nowadays, people have come to not expect good or excellent customer service. What about you? Do you really expect to receive excellent customer service?

I've used the same travel agent for my last three bookings, and the same agency for the last four. (I'd have used the same TA I used the first time, but I couldn't remember his name!  )
Steve Bell at Vacations To Go has given me ~great~ customer service. He's always quick to return calls if he's not available when I call -- which is rare -- and equally quick with e-mails. His agency does a follow-up after the cruise regarding their customer service and my opinions of the cruiseline and ship. He's always thrown me a bone/perk, too (e.g., cabin credit, bottle of wine). I've referred several others to him.

I've been cruising for so long and have used so many travel agents, I can't really remember!! LOL!
Since I have been doing my own bookings for about 8 years now, I don't send myself anything!! :coolguy: :coolguy:
I have used local travel agencies, as well as one on-line cruise broker (Cruise Brothers), and never remember getting a call or e-mail when we returned home from a cruise.
In all my years of cruising, I only remember getting something one time......it was some kind of fruit or snack tray in our cabin, and a bottle of wine.

I usually do my own travel arrangements...but I do want to say that I had a group cruise booked through Care Free Vacations, owned by our own nhrich. Carinval decided to relocate the ship before the cruise was to take place so my cruise was cancelled. I had only paid a $25 deposit but I never even had to ask Rich for my refund. A few days after the cancellation was announced...my refund check was in my mail box.
So Rich seems to be a travel agent that pays attention to details...and follows up!:thumbsup:

| My experience with Rich was the same as Gramps! :thumbsup: This is the kind of service I had become used to until my TA of several years died last year.

Talk about great customer service, Rich brought my Pride of Hawaii tix to our house, sat down with us and went over the maps of each island with suggestions for each. He went over our car rentals, brought us gifts (tshirts, pens, bag, magnet, free tix to home shows) and brought his wife Jeri along to fill in anything he might have left out! And it was a snowy night and the roads were not great (I hope you got home without incident, btw). We are now so much more excited after talking with them! One month to go!
