Hi there, Im Jill and Im planning my first cruise.  Its long been a plan that when I finished going to school and got my first job, I would take my husband and kids on a trip.  We've made a lot of sacrifices as a family in order for me to go back to school and they deserve it. Well, Ive got my degree, no job yet though, but its time to start planning the trip.  We have decided on a cruise, either Alaska or Mexico(leaning more towards Mexico), and none of us have ever been on one before.  We have 3 kids, a 10 year old, a 13 year old and a 15 year old.

Great to be here,

Jill

Although we've already "spoken" here's my official WELCOME TO CTT. The folks here are really great and have a lot of cruise experience. Planning your cruise is 1/2 the fun...and as I said to you earlier this morning, cruising is addicting.

Congrats too on earning your degree! See you on the boards and keep asking away.

Ciao,
WaWW

Welcome and congrats!

Me, personally, I'd go for Alaska over Mexico.  But, if you're looking for sun & fun, Mexico would win out, I guess.  Some of the Western Caribbean cruises also hit Mexico ports.  3 of my 4 cruises have been Caribbean (one east, one west, one south - go figure :P ), and we did hit 2 Mexico ports on the Western Caribbean one.  I think that the east side of Mexico may have more ruins, and the west side may have more sun & fun, but I could be wrong.

Oh by the way - on the main CTT page, there is a tab marked "recent".  I use this page exclusively to access CTT - it's the page that I've bookmarked for CTT, not the main page.  It's much easier than on a bigger board like Cruise Critic, because there's only 2-4 pages of "new" posts to wade through.  Looking for info, it might not be the best way to access CTT, but once you've waded in a little, you might find it better.
