I was going to tell you two to get a room! 
Guess I never gave an update after my last trip down...I did find a house that we'd love, and we made an offer, but the owner wouldn't come down far enough in price. We're now thinking of building new, probably around Youngsville/Franklinton. We've found a floor plan that'd be great for us, but finding the right piece of land to put it on hasn't happened yet.
Next trip down will be Sept. 10-14. I'm planning on checking out some of the new developments going up.

Figures, when you're living in NC you aren't there when I am, and when you're living in Florida, then it works out! Jeri's not coming down this trip (with the airfares & boarding charges for Tasha, it's money that could go towards the house, and we're both looking for the same things, so she trusts my judgement), but I'll be there!
I'll be working in RTP (just off Page Road exit of I-40) Wed/Thu, & probably Fri, so one of those nights would probably work out...probably Thu/Fri would be better since I've got to be up at oh-dark-thirty to catch my flight out Wed morning.
Maybe the timing will work out good with your QE2 documents and you can get personal delivery.

Denise, that is my nutty hubby. We both were drinking too mucch last night. Of course some of us were drinking more than others. 
Are you in NC or Florida now? Where will you be in March/April 2009?

Are you working with a Realtor? I hate that you have found a place and can not get it. I do hope it works out. Do you know how long the people that own the house now have had it? That might be the deal, they might own too much to sale the house for the price you offered. You know once you take out the 6-10% commissions. Wonder if you could make them an offer outside of realtors if they would take it. Of course you probably can not take it there if they have a realtor. They are bound by contract. If the house is up for sale a while they might go to for sale by owner. OK I am just brainstorming here. lol

You hate it? How do you think we feel? LOL. They don't want to take less than what they have in it, but they've had it since 2005. Can't blame them, but the market has changed since then.
We've got a buyer's agent working for us, and they have the house listed with a realtor. They've already moved out, so I'm hoping they get desperate.

If we could meet in Raleigh, instead of the RTP, that would be great. It's about an hour and 20 min drive for me to get to Raleigh, and then another 20 to get to the RTP.
That would be really great if we could all meet in Raleigh for dinner one night!!!!! I'm in!

OK, Jeff just told me about this. We are in!! Raleigh is about an hour and half to and hour and forty five from us. What time? Where? Sounds like fun to me. Jeff and I might have to find a place to stay for the night though.
