I am getting excited .Even if your not a fan the whole event is so huge that its hard not to get caught up in it.I am afraid to even think of how many people will be arriving over the weekend .I think it will be worse than the Spring Breakers.
Everyday they have events .One day their at Universal another Downtown Disney and all the signings thrown in .Even a street festival which looks like it is just bar after bar . Hall of Fame on Saturday which will draw the crowds maybe away from the parks
As long as I can lounge by a pool and get some rest before the weekend I will survive
Haven't packed a thing .I really better do it soon or I am in big trouble

Hey Leet you'd better start packing!
I'm excited - only thing pissing me off is that Skybus keeps changing the time of our flights.
Hey Rich - got your package yesterday! It's almost as good as the doc dance. Thanks for all your help.
I went to my friend's storage unit yesterday to help her find her Disney Pass - she can't find it! She's said it looks like a credit card with Tinkerbell on it - guess she'll be stuck paying the $200 with me for our tickets!

Here's a tip: Always make a photocopy of the back of your tickets (or copy down the numbers) and keep it in a safe place separate from your tickets.
If you do lose your tickets and have the copy or the numbers, Disney will cancel out the old tickets and re-issue them to you. You also may have to tell them when, how, or where you purchased them so that they can make sure the tickets actually belong to you.
If your friend can remember "when, where, and how" she purchased the tickets, Disney "may" be able to track down the numbers. For example, she remembers that she bought the tickets at the WDW resort (Port Orleans) on the first day of her trip in April 2004 (4/2/04) and she paid with her Visa cc #xxx." IF Disney can find the transaction somewhere in their computer system, they may be able to replace her tickets. The more information she has, the more leads the Cast Member has to try to track it down. But keep in mind that this may not always be possible. If they can't locate the tickets in the computer (in a reasonable amount of time - they are not going to search for hours) based on her information and be SURE that it is hers, then she is out of luck.
I have an Annual Pass so if I lose it, it is very easy for Disney to replace it for me. I just show my picture ID at the guest services and they look it up and re-issue it to me.
In 2004, my In-Laws left their left over tickets (that we purchased for them in 1999) at home in TX. We called my BIL while standing line for guest services at the MK. He found the tickets and read the numbers off the back of the tickets to us. We gave the numbers to the CM who promptly cancelled the old tickets and re-issued new ones to us with the appropriate number of days left on them.
WDW has never charged any fees for replacement tickets. However, they can or may do so in the future. I have a feeling they won't for a while though. WDW is currently using cheap paper tickets. WDW has to replace at least hundreds if not thousands every day - when they get de-magnetised, when they get wet, when stupid people fold them or forget them when getting fast passes.
HTH.

I hope it works out for her. It's not a sure thing unless she KNOWS what the ticket numbers are. They can try to locate her ticket numbers on the computer for her but like I said, it's not a sure bet that they can.
She won't know if they can replace her tickets until she's standing at guest services. If they can't and she has to buy new tickets right there, it will be more expensive than buying them in advance.
Buying WDW tickets in advance before you get to the gate will save a few $$. So, she may want to have a back up plan, just in case.
So,... make sure that when you get your own tickets, first thing you should do is copy down the ticket numbers and put in a safe place.
Have a GREAT trip!!

| So, are you suggesting that I purchase my tickets ahead of time and not at the gate? I only ask b/c we planned on getting the 2-day park hopper. But, if it rains one day, we may do something else, etc. And if we buy the tickets ahead of time, then we have to go, don't we?

Since you are only buying 2-day tickets, there is no additional discount to buy them in advance. So, just wait until you get there to buy your tickets.
Advance purchase dicounts don't start until you start buying 3 or more day tickets.
Crossing fingers that your friend either finds her tickets or can get them replaced. If she manages to get them replaced, she needs to buy you a drink or a Mickey Ice Cream bar!!

hey all, just an update for those of you headed to universal.
i had to pop down there this w'end. went to citywalk and saw kc and the sunshine band in concert at universal (awesome).
mardi gras is still going on. lots of fun. catch it if ya can.
hard rock dismantled the oudoor bar area as i knew it. meaning, there is still an outside area, but it is barricaded off a bit and has been replaced by tables. no more comfy wicker furniture. i do not know why they did this. perhaps it is a temp thing through the end of spring break.
anyway, margaritaville was great again, as it always is.
after 10 p.m. there is a $7 cover EVEN TO EAT...but so worth it if the band that was playing last sat is there (i cannot remember the name, b/c , well i had been having a good time all night by the time i got there, if ya know what i mean, lol).
we just walked around and hung out in universal, but if you are going there for a vacation, not a quick jaunt to hang out, i suggest you pay the 15 or 20 bucks to get the express passes if you are not staying at one of the 3 lowes resorts linked to universal.
it makes a huge difference...esp at this time of year when all of the breaks make the parks so busy.
