I need ideas for a great restaurant in Venice
Italian fare
something with a view, romantic
close to Pizzale Roma, so we can walk back drunk and grab the port shuttle.
Make it good, cause it will be my BIRTHDAY!!!!
Istanbul
good forbid but... Turkish fair
something with a sunset view
whirling dervishes to scare the hell outta me cause it'll be 5 days after my birthday
close to a taxi stand to hire for a ride to port
Santorini Lunch
seaside...
Greek food ... OMG, note to self.. bring Nexium
donkey stand close by, so I can get stinking drunk on Greek red wine that Pearl will insist I drink. They can throw my sorry ass over the smelly ass and get me back to port.

Sheila, Italian food is not a problem, but great Italian food might be. We had some excellent lunches, you know the typical fried shrimp and calamari, all over Italy, but I never found a great restaurant for dinner in Venice. Good not great. Sorry can't help. We had a great lunch in Fera on Santorini. It was a ways down from the church to the east, close to the donkey path. The name, no freaking clue.
Be careful eating squid. My friend Shelby ended up with a grilled squid that caused his entire mouth to be black from the ink in Venice! Made for some great pictures.

I Googled Venice + gondola + dinner. Looks like dinner comes after the gondola ride on some of these.

Travel Toe was an interesting site. Never heard for them before.
Think if I do this, will do it all separate. Bit of a rip off in a package.
One singer, and the gondolas follow him around, therefore it's a wagon train of boats... then dinner at the same predetermined place. Too much $$ for a tourist trap.
