We are off tomorrow to Europe for a couple of weeks driving around the Germanic countries and buying some of that $12 a gallon gas!
So, I hope everyone can get by without me around to help them thru their days!

JC, enjoy the driving. We have been home for 2 weeks after 5780 miles ($992 of gas later) of driving in a big circle...
Have fun and take lots of pictures to share!

Don't know about JC, but one time on Princess we shared a table one night with another couple. Several days later when we saw the same couple the fellow was... well... a "princess."

I hadn't thought about her in a loooong time. I can't even remember her old screen name to look her up. I did look up Auntie Em though. She was posting on the Invision help board on June 6th. Do you suppose she still has that super secret, by invitation only, private board?

Hello from Zermatt. The trip has gone great so far. Things are very expensive for example a new pair of Soloman shoes I bought a couple of months ago for $120 are selling for Swiss Franc $230 and the swiss franc is pretty much on parity with the dollar. Yikes! Fortunately we don't have space for stuff, so the the souvineers we are buying are mostly wine and food. There we are not cutting any corners. Filled up in Austria yesterday for 68.72 euros at 1.41 euro a liter. Something around $105 for a bit more than a half tank of gas. For those that think the price of fuel is only effecting RCI there was some bloke who took his car to frankfurt drove it on the congress grounds and set it on fire. Here in Switzerland gas is about 1.95 swiss francs per liter. Actually cheaper than Austria which was less than Germany where it was about 1.75 euro a liter.
style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #c6e1d7"It is raining in Zermatt today, as it did last night as we looked for our hotel in the rain after getting off the train. Krystal is napping, and I am watching Sky News in the La Petit Hotel, which is basically 6 stories of microscopic rooms in a narrow wedge hotel. Certainly fine.
style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #c6e1d7"Tomorrow we will catch the train in the morning back to Brig where the car is waiting, and then we will drive to Geneva for the fourth of July celebration.

There's a significan't international population in Geneva (banking, Red Cross, UN, etc.). Quite a large American population. Wouldn't surprise me if they celebrate the 4th.
