I don't get it, either. :confused:

I will continue to dress the same as I have always dressed on cruises.  It doesn't bother me one bit to put on a nice dress for "formal" night. If they do away with "formal" nights, I still might take a nice dress, just to annoy those that that don't like getting "dressed" up while on a cruise!!!!!!! :big grin:  :shoot me:

Even though NCL has formally done away with formal night, I continue to dress up. In fact, my last two times on the Gem I dressed up far more than I had on my previous three or four cruises. Just for fun. :big grin:

I have to wonder about these people who are so concerned with getting the dress code "right"... I think it goes beyond simple concern over whether they'll be denied admission to the dining room. They must be really preoccupied with what others think about them. Sad.
