Okay, this may seem like a small thing to some, but...

Wow! Drawer space in the bathrooms. What a novel concept! I don't like leaving my stuff lying all around, even if it is neatly arranged on a shelf. Me like!

I hope the "nameplate" on the stern is temporary.  It looks like they used a Brother label printer with a Windows (non TT) font in super jumbo size to make that.  I mean c'mon use at least a serif for crissakes! :nono:

A first look at Celebrity Solstice
11/6/2008
The bathrooms are 50% larger than those in Millennium-class accommodations, and the standard veranda staterooms are 15% larger, at 210 square feet. High ceilings give public rooms a spacious feel.
There are more than half a dozen dining spots, from what looks to be a knock-out space, The Grand Epernay with its champagne theme, to the Tuscan Grille, entered through an archway that will resemble a Napa Valley wine cellar.
The Lido Deck is an expanse of teak that will spout a water feature at the entrance to the main pool, lined by cabanas and white-cushioned lounge chairs and day beds.
Overall, there’s a sophisticated, spa-like quality to Celebrity Solstice, seen today at Meyer Werft by the first international media and key North American travel partners.
‘With the AquaClass staterooms and the beautiful pool deck, it does have a very spa-like feel to it,’ Celebrity Cruises president and ceo Dan Hanrahan told Seatrade Insider.
‘The sense of space is a luxury in today’s world,’ said Richard Fain, chairman and ceo of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. He singled out the high ceilings, made possible by dramatically compacted new air conditioning systems.
In a walk-through of mock-up standard veranda staterooms, retailers like Richard Molander of Travel of America in Covina, Calif., seemed especially impressed with the bathrooms. ‘They’re spacious. I’m a big person, and I felt very comfortable inside,’ he said.
A number of connecting staterooms have recessed entryways that form a vestibule; an outer door to the corridor can be closed for more privacy. The concept is not a first -- the Royal Viking Line ships of the 1970s, for example had this feature -- but agents seemed pleased with the effect, which also makes the corridors more interesting.
The stateroom design is ‘very contemporary,’ said Dondra Ritzenthaler, svp sales for Celebrity, pointing to the calm colors, the furniture quality, the granite countertops and the bathroom finishings.
Among the stand-out public facilities are the two-deck-high AquaSpa with its rotunda reception area; the pool area which Kevin Douglas, associate vp newbuilding and fleet design, called ‘very South Beach’; the Ensemble Lounge, a circular bar for pre-dinner drinks adjacent to specialty restaurants like the elegant Murano; the dramatic Grand Foyer with its sweeping staircase; and The Grand Epernay, by preeminent restaurant and hotel designer Adam Tihany.
Not to overlook a unique feature: The Lawn Club. Fain and Hanrahan took off their shoes to walk in a patch of grass where this top deck feature will be located. ‘It is a novel element and has required a lot of research, technical considerations and testing,’ Harri Kulovaara, evp maritime, told Seatrade Insider.
The first in Celebrity’s new class of 122,000gt vessels is scheduled to leave the covered building dock at Meyer Werft on Aug. 10 and will transit the Ems River in late September prior to delivery on Oct. 24. As recently reported, the ship is due to enter service on Nov. 23, three weeks earlier than planned.

Do you know if the CC cabins are bigger than the regular balcony cabins?

Do you have any pic of the new Aqua Class cabins?
