Our next up is the Norwegian Gem on 1/5/08. TOO FAR AWAY!!! LOL We've got an AE on this one; never had an aft balcony before. We had an AC last time on the Dawn, and from what I can tell the only difference is that the AE is slightly smaller and in the aft.

I'm not currently employed, so I'm willing to go just about any time. The only problem is finding roomies! DH can only take off so much work. I dragged my sister-in-law along in November on the Dawn, and we had a ~great~ time.

I LOVE being able to homeport out of NYC. (Nothing like arriving for a vacation feeling like death warmed over because you've been through the flying mill.) Previously we lived in the Washington, D.C.-area; the only near options were RCI's Grandeur of the Seas out of Baltimore or some antique HAL ship out of Norfolk. We were so spoiled on our first cruise I won't do anything less than a balcony, so those two options wouldn't suit.

We're waiting anxiously for NCLA to release their schedule for summer '08. We're going back to Hawaii for my high school reunion in June and want to do a week-long inter-island cruise then. Funny thing is, even though I lived in Hawaii I didn't get to see much of the outer islands! (That happens when you have to work and go to school. :()

Wish I could join you on that CTT cruise, but we'll be on the Gem in February '08. (Which I am already so excited about!) We'll be in an AD suite--I've been wanting to try an aft cabin and once I had a concierge, I became disgustingly spoiled and want one again. :big grin:

No cruise this year--we are going to St Lucia (Soufriere) for 9 days end of April. I booked it in March of LAST year so I have been waiting patiently! Not feeling as patient right about now ... anyway with that coming up and the Gem about 9 months later, I feel good. I HAVE to have a vacation booked or I feel awful inside.

Greenie, we got 2 AFs, didn't want to swing the AB this time, it was a lot more.  The GEM prices have really jumped, even in the last month!  Sheesh, the thing isn't even done yet!

I would love to go to St. Lucia for longer than a few hours. The one time we were there on a cruise just wasn't long enough to see and do all the things we wanted. I also have to have a trip booked or I'm hell to live with. I think DH finally figured that out! ;)

WOW! You lucky thing!!! Be sure to come back and let us all know what you think about the Pearl, e.g. Bliss: bar, or bordello? :big grin:

BTW, up until almost a year ago I was your neighbor in Centerville! I never thought I'd say I miss Manassas... until I moved to NJ. :big grin::big grin::big grin:

Bordello, LOL. I have heard some describe it as that. I tend to think of a Miami nightclub.

Very cool on the Centreville thing. I like this area, especially for travel. Just have I-66 and the traffic.

Woo Hoo. I just filled out our Set Sail passes for our cruise on the Monarch of the Seas departing March 9th. It's getting closer and I am starting to get excited!!!

I've got a feeling this will become our new favorite long weekend getaway.

I don't get to cruise very often (no money!!), and my next cruise is May 26th. It's my first vacation with my boyfriend, so we're really excited about it. My last (and first) cruise was in August of 2003, so I'm going through cruise withdrawl here!!

Our next cruise was to be a seven day cruise on the Carnival Glory Sept 15. We paid our deposit a couple months ago. We decided to cancel as, after a two year search, we finally found a lake front lot and have decided to build a new house. It should be ready around Sept 15.
That makes our next cruise a long way out--Dec 28, 2007 for a 10 day New Year cruise on the Constellation. We've also booked a pre-cruise night in Ft Lauderdale.
