Oh, I'm totally going to use "I'm in drydock" That's great!

I'd love to do the Panama Canal.  Details?

Paul, you'll love the Freedom and I bet your son will REALLY love it.

Ah...the Greek Isles.  Now that's a cruise!

We call the time between cruises "being on a long shore excursion".

Next cruise November 5, 2006 on the Jewel. FOMT Reunion cruise w/o MrT

PE

I like that better than my term: Being in drydock. No MrT? Whassup with that?

My sister is in an aft. She's already trying to figure out how to get some carpets back to Canada!!

I can hardly wait to get to Amsterdam.

Rome, Nice,Pisa,Seville, Barcelona, Morroco,Lisbon, Gibraltor, LaHarve,Rotterdam,Cannes,Vigo,Southampton,Brugges

Flights will be direct, so that will be good. We aren't doing a pre or post
I'm looking at that itinerary in the 2007 brochure.  That should be an awesome trip.

Sheila, I just could not go without having a buffer day. Anything can happen with the flight and so on. Piece of mind is worth getting there at least a day ahead of time.

It's on Louis Cruise Lines, so I'm not expecting much from the ship.  It's a ride between the islands.  The cruise is a 4-nighter from Piraeus, stopping in Mykonos, Kusadasi, Patmos, Rhodes, Crete, & Santorini.  We're doing about a 10-day escorted tour on the Greek mainland before the cruise.

I've never heard of that line, Rich. I'm assuming it is a local line?  Sounds like a great itinerary!

They pretty much do just the Greek islands.  Their ships are all very small, but when we're hitting 2 islands a day, I only care that the ship is clean.  The cruise is part of a tour with Cosmos.

83 days until DW and I take our 2 DDs (13 & 10) on their first cruise! 8 days on a Spirit class ship to Acapulco, Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo, and Manzanillo. And the best part is 4 days at sea!!! :big grin: Mexico is convenient for us Californians.

My husband has been trying to get me to look at cruises to Mexico from California for a while. How do they compare to Caribbean cruises?

The water is not the beautiful turquoise that you experience in the Caribbean, nor are the beaches as fine/powdery. We still LOVE Mexico, its people, its food, its beer (ah Coronas), and tequila/margaritas!!! There are a lot of fun things to do in port and the area is beautiful. The water on the West Coast is more of a dark blue and NOTHING beats a sunset off the West Coast!!!

So this cruise in Nov will be your first on RCCL?  I've been on Monarch several years ago.

The Monarch will be my first RC cruise, but it is not until my birthday weekend in March. November is on the Carnival Spirit.
