ML, we are back from another great time on the Monarch! Even though we had our worst dining room service ever, we still had a great time. Overall, the staff is outstanding.
Have fun!

Thanks Tim, welcome home. We're looking forward to it. My mom is sick in hosp right now so the family and friends may end up going without me but if things work out ok I'll be on the plane this Friday with them and we'll sail on Monday. We just loved Monarch first time around and it would really beat the freezing rain we've got here tonight!!
Was it only the service in the dining room or was it the food too? We found the food very good last time around. How was the weather? Rough seas at all?

It was just the service for us, but we had friends who had cruised before that thought their servers were great. We just got a bad draw. The food was good, not outstanding but definitely not bad.
We had many newbies in our group and they thought the food and service were great and were appreciative we told them they could order multiple items .

Thanks Deb. Normally DW and I travel together or with DDs and this was our first time cruising with a group of friends. We had an awesome time!!! We are cruising with another couple in April and are now looking forward to that one.

That should be a lot of fun! The best time we ever had on a cruise was with two other couples. Only one of the husbands hadn't cruised with all of us before and he was a good fit in personality and tastes.

Thanks guys. We're flying out tonight and it looks like I'm going to go although with sort of a sick feeling in my gut. Like my sis says, I can be on a plane and home in 6 or 7 hours. It's just bad timing and I don't like leaving her with all the responsibility. She's 15 years older than me and it's hard on her. Anyway, thanks again for the good thoughts. See you in a week or so.

You can't do it all. Let your sister take care of things. The rest will do you good. And, God forbid, if you need to fly home, you can. Now go and enjoy!

2 weeks from today, we'll be on the last Trans-Atlantic crossing on the QE 2! After it arrives in Southampton, we'll be spending a few days in London before heading home. We're sailing in tandem with the QM 2, and I imagine that there will be some special festivites on-board.
Are any of you guys in the NYC area planning to go downtown to watch the sail away?

If they sailed from NYC I would consider it. Redhook is not really NYC and you miss the most senic part of a NY departure down the hudson past the city,
That said I will be doing it tomorrow at 4 pm on the NCL Spirt CTN.

Awsome.... lucky devils!
I'm cruising to the grocery store in a few minutes.
Anyone going to Montreal, here's Sandytoes telephone number 555-555-5555.
Give her a precall and she'll take you out for dinner and drinks (on her, just to show our Canadian friendliness). See if she can drop you off for a wee bit of great shopping. Oh and a word of advice. Don't buy any of that Canadian souvenir crap.. it's all made in China.
