How many of you use the "express" disembarkation on the day of departure?  Some ships offer it now....you know, where you can get off the ship really early if you carry your own suitcases off by yourself.

The only reason I haven't used it thus far is because DH and I have always had 4 suitcases of various sizes between us. With some of the airlines now charging for more than one bag, we may have to cut down on suitcases. If that's the case, priority disembarkation would be an option.

When I am cruising with my DH, he & I have done this great option before. As long as we can handle our big suitcase and carry-on, it's great to use and you're off fast before the thundering hordes!

But, when I am cruising with my mom, I cannot handle my big suitcase and carry-ons by myself plus helping my handicapped mom with hers. So, we wait for our color coded announcement.

I am glad, though, that the cruise lines are starting to offer this option!

We are considering doing this on the Pride.  We have a 12:45 flight and we need to make sure we are off in time to get to the airport in LA.

I did notice that on the Capers on the Sensation on Sautrday it was encouraging you to use the internet cafe for your flight checkin so you can us the express disembarkment.

I think you will be fine with a flight that late. When I got off the Brilliance last month, a couple at our table had a 9:45 am flight!!     They were off the ship by 7:00, and made it to the airport by 7:30, no problem.

Being an East Coast Gal I have no clue what to compare LAX airport to.  If I compare them to MIA I will need to do the internet check in with the boarding passes.  I should not have to do the early embarkment.  I hate Miami International!! I would rather fly out of FLL and do the drive.

I have plenty of time to figure out what I am going to do about the Pride.  Don't I?
