Only if you refuse to pony up the extra dough. :big grin:

I am laughing at both of you.  You know it really stinks that they airlines have started changing for the 2nd bag.  Tell me how the heck we are suppose to pack for a 7 day cruise and a 3 day land vacation combo in California with only one bag?

That's going to be difficult for a lot of people and I think the airlines are taking advantage of that to improve their bottom line.

One thing I know that might work if you like dresses. Travelsmith has some very nice reversible dresses. They are great for traveling and you only pack one dress then wear it twice! They also have reversible palazzo pants.

You mean that you AREN'T supposed to pack the kitchen sink?  Note to self..........

The Porter at the curb that took my suitcase a few weeks ago actually asked me what I had in there.  Can you believe the nerve..lol.  At least it gave my husband something to give me a hard time about all week.

But, when we got home and I unpacked all of the clothes, I made piles for each of us.  My pile was half the size of DH and DS.  Now I have something to give him a hard time about :roflmao:.

DH always gives me a hard time about how much I pack although I'm not taking the kitchen sink anymore. ;)

I bought some new heavy duty ziplock bags today.  I have everything in them and I have them all labeled.  I think I have 6 bags right now.   I hate when I have to hunt for stuff so I decided a while back to be well organized.  Does that mean I have another disorder?  lol

Bought our water and sodas this morning.  I have to pack now.  lol  I have most of it done, I just have to figure out which shorts I am thinking and then pack

I hope not! I'm an organizer too. Bath stuff in one bag, beach stuff in another, medical needs in a separate bag, clothes packed with matching shoes, underwear in his and her bags, shorts the same way. I haven't started labeling anything yet though. ;)

Sounds like Paullie Walnuts' underwear.

I wasn't sure when you were leaving NC - but I wanted you to know that we have brush fires again and I95 southbound is closed in Brevard Co - just south of Daytona I think. Here is a link to the FHP website. Be sure and check before you head out - so you have time to plan a detour.

Kathy thank you so MUCH!!!   I am going to forward the website to Jeff.  He is on vacation this week.  Lucky devil.  I told him I was enjoying having a house husband.  Which is a joke.  I came home and the house was a wreck!  lol

thanks so much for your help.

I am getting anxious to leave.  I work until 2 and then have a meeting.  I am really hoping to beat the Charlotte major rush.  The meeting will not last long and Jeff is to have the car ready and waiting.  I should be home by 2:45 and hit the road by 3.  I know the traffic is not grand at 4 in Charlotte but better than hitting it at 5.

Do not be jealous.  I am sure you will go soon and I will feel the same way.  :P

I really am beyond exhausted.  I keep reminding myself I am going to be in a car for over 8 hours soon and will have plenty of rest.  I normally sleep or read because I can not stand watching Jeff drive.  His drivies scares me.  Plus he hates to hear me complain.

I take it you are coming down 85? I work about 1 mile off 85 in Kannapolis. I will tell you that this stretch does get backed up most days it seems...even as early as 4. From about exit 58 to exit 55 so it's not much. Will just slow you down a bit.

And be glad that you aren't coming through Friday or Sat night with the race stuff going on.

Unfortunately I am not cruising until Next March!!! At least now it is less than a year away..... But I do have two Vegas trips planned - one over July 4th for fun and one the last week in August for business (sorta). So at least I will get a break. But I sure do miss those cruises that are NOT on my calendar....

I looked and looked for a deal but the deals are all on dates when I can't vacation. :shoot me:

Unfortunately I am not cruising until Next March!!! At least now it is less than a year away..... But I do have two Vegas trips planned - one over July 4th for fun and one the last week in August for business (sorta). So at least I will get a break. But I sure do miss those cruises that are NOT on my calendar....

I looked and looked for a deal but the deals are all on dates when I can't vacation. :shoot me:

My brother lives in Vegas.  I finally went out with a bunch of friends last summer.  Jeff could not get off of work to go.  I had a blast.  Of course I got to know the bartenders in one of the bars in the hotel.  My friend took longer to get ready than I did so I would go to the bar and sit.

We have a few things planned for the spring, summer and fall.  Wuold love to go back out to Vegas but we promised to do some other things prior to realizing the funds were not there for all of the things we wanted to do.

Exactly.

I have told Jeff next marriage will be for money. :big grin:

Let me see if I were....

I would not be at work today.  I would be somewhere hot, sandy and a cabana boy to service my needs. :P

I wasn't sure when you were leaving NC - but I wanted you to know that we have brush fires again and I95 southbound is closed in Brevard Co - just south of Daytona I think. Here is a link to the FHP website. Be sure and check before you head out - so you have time to plan a detour.

Fire time - here we go again......:flamin:

Kathy do you know the best way to figure out the detours?  We do not have a GPS.

follow the really, really long line of cars......
