I have revisited the issue with my packing.  I think I am only going to take 3 dresses and one pair of black pants and 2 dress tops.  That would leave me over packed by only 2 days but remember one dress is a red and it doubles for a beach cover up.  It is a red dress from Victoria's Secret.  I plan on wearing it over my red bikini in Nassau.

many pages here (that i didn't read thru), so sorry if this is a duplicate.

my suggestion of what NOT to pack, is too many (unnecessary) pairs of shoes.

pick a couple of pairs that'll work well with more than one outfit.  shoes are the biggest waste of suitcase space.

As far as packing goes....

We did a 3 day on SB weekend and I still overpacked!

From now on, couple of tees, couple of shorts couple of slacks, couple of hawai shirts proper underwear set-up and when it doesn't pass the sniff test, out it goes, and go get something new at a port of call! Piece o' cake!

I have wondered if you're male or female. Undies passing the sniff test tends to make me lean towards male! Okay, maybe the Hawaiian shirts had something to do with it too. :big grin:

Have any of you ever used this site? http://www.cruisediva.com/

It has tons of tips including packing.

As do I. We've been friends for about 6 years, sailed together twice and I really love all the info she provides on her site. She also wrote the latest Fodor's Guide to the Caribbean (or maybe it was co-wrote. I've never been clear on that).

If your DH or DW complains about your overpacking, remind him/her to remember to bring an extra CC on the trip instead.  This way if you find out on the trip that you found out you didn't pack something, you can just go out and BUY it.

I'm sure they will volunteer to give you some of their space. :big grin:

I always tend to overpack for the kids.

Well heck. I don't need OPA either, although the airlines might disagree with that. ;)

I am laughing at both of you.  You know it really stinks that they airlines have started changing for the 2nd bag.  Tell me how the heck we are suppose to pack for a 7 day cruise and a 3 day land vacation combo in California with only one bag?
