I expected to see some of the lines do this. Now we have five. Interesting that U.K. and U.S. passsengers are exempt from the surcharge on Costa.

That's interesting.........but I wonder why US passengers don't have to pay the extra charge? Doesn't seem fair.

Plus, all these taxes, fees and surcharges DRIVE ME CRAZY!!  Why don't they just include them all in the price quote of the cruise?

They say the reason is different booking conditions in those two countries. I wonder what that means?

Rich are your clients getting antsy re fuel surcharges?
Looking at new cruises for 09, nearly fell off the chair with the Air fuel surcharge. Ok, I can accept the cruise ships (not too bad), but Aircrapola
$360. pp air fuel surcharge then add Toronto air taxes WOW!! I may not be able to cruise just due to the air!!!!

I have been told to be prepared, we haven't seen anything yet.
Put in multidestination Toronto to Barcelona and Venice to Toronto economy
Tonights price is $4700. pp!!!!!

I thought their booking engine had gone wonky last night, but today same thing. I can't find cheap airfare overseas at all. I hate to think of driving over the border to save money. It's so much easier to just get into the car and drive home from airport after a long flight, but we may have to or forgo vacations til the prices drop....
The same flight I took last summer is $650 pp more this year.
I guess the Venice flight is more expensive due to deviation, but that's over the top!!!!!!

Sheila, what about driving down to Buffalo to fly?  Fees are much less in the States.  We always fly out of Detroit now.

Just rec'd a $300. air or sea credit in an email from Celebrity. Has anyone ever used an Air Credit? Would that only apply if you booked your air thru the cruise line?

I've never heard of that from a cruise line. Do you have any idea why they gave it to you?

They must have read here that your next cruise was in jeopardy because of high airfares. :lmao1:
