Deb,
They are really excellent!!!!!!  The first one, Relic, is my least favorite.........

Relic & Reliquary
Cabinet of the Curiosites
Stll life with Crows
Brimstone, Dance of the Dead, Book of the Dead

Cabinet & Still Life stand alone, and you can read them seperately.
But I would suggest reading the Brimstone trilogy in order..........

Now that I think about it, I may have already read The Relic. I'll have to look at the bookstore and see if it rings any bells. Thanks for the suggestions!

Okay, I'm on the 9th Stephanie Plum book. Ranger and Morelli are both YUMMY!!! I'll take either. I'm up to Ceremony in Death with JD Robb and I've listed to another 3 or 4 Janet Evanovich on CD (including Metro Girl). They are so funny!!!

I've read about 80 books this summer... spent more time reading than on here. However, I am falling behing on other computer stuff at home, so maybe if I get back on here, I'll spend more time on my computer at home and get my other stuff caught up. Did any of that make sense?

Hey Steph! I've been missing you on all the boards girlie!! It's great to see you!

I love reading but I really slacked this summer. I'm going to go back through this thread and start looking some of these books up.

I just finished John by Cynthia Lennon. It's about her 12 year relationship with John Lennon. This book really made me see John in a different light. He had a somewhat unstable childhood and overcame many obstacles before he turned 18. She shows you how fame, fortune, and drugs changed the man she married. It is also very painful how he treated his first son Julian and how he still suffers today from it. John is an excellent read and Cynthia Lennon made you feel as if you were beside her during her journey.

I finally finished Black Wind by Clive Cussler and his son. This one was my least favorite of all his books. I've started The Loch by Steve Alden then it will be time to hit the book store again.

Steph, you are way ahead of me! I must be spending too much time online! :big grin:

I agree!  I didn't even finish it................I think he is breaking all of his fans in, so they'll continue to read his son's books, when he retires.  But, I didn't think it was up to snuff.......

Here's another series that I really like.....

Rachel Porter series.........http://www.jessicaspeart.com/

I have read almost all of her books & like them very much. My favorite is "Coastal Disturbance", but they all are good.
I read them in order, and I would suggest reading the sreies in order. In each book, she is in a different city & it's a different story, but characters from other books keep popping in & out.

Yes, I know... I read a ton this summer. They were having a contest at the library. I ended up with a $10 Sonic gift card and renewed my reading enjoyment.

Now that the kids are back in school, they aren't doing quite as many of the chores around the house, so I guess I'll have to give up some of my reading time.

Deb - are you going to go out and get you the Janet Evanovich books? Those and the JD Robb. Lots of hot, leading men.

Let us know what you think.

I left my list at home the day I went to the bookstore so I didn't remember who I was looking for. Got a couple of time travel trashy romance novels. Not that I could see what I was looking at that day. They were putting new lenses in my glasses and I was wandering the mall in a blur! :big grin:
