Fashionistas, I need your help!

Hubby and I decided this morning that we'd book the Renewal of Vows package on our upcoming Caribbean Princess cruise. What's an old married lady to wear for such an occasion? I think white would be over the top, but perhaps black is not in order, either? HELP!

Congrats Becky! Because you're going to be on a ship, I'd go for something classy but in keeping with the setting. Maybe summery cocktail dress in seafoam or coral colors.

Seriously, what you wear on the outside is not that important.   It's what you wear within.

I liked Scrappy's suggestion. Summery, flowing, colors. Yeah, that's the ticket!

Me, too! And corals work very well for me. Thanks, Buffy and Scrappy! :flowers:

Anybody else got any suggestions for what I should wear to the ceremony? (versus what I should wear that night?:moon:)

I love the color coral.....it would look very nice.  Also, I love "winter white", or a cream color......very classy. Maybe with a leopard-print scarf or accessories????

Oops!  Or maybe save the leopard-print for a sexy nightgown!!!!!!

We renewed our vows in Bermuda last year for our 30th anniversary, at Stella Maris in St. George's.  Took a lot of planning, since the priest there was going on vacation when we were there, so I was in contact with the "fill in" priest from NJ -- he was great!  I had planned to wear this really pretty sundress I bought from Talbots, but it had rained and then was so humid I ended up going to the church in capris and a tank top!!  I wouldn't change it for the world though -- it was wonderful!!  I just wish we had someone there to take pictures...

We've bought the package from Princess, so the ceremony will be performed by the captain of the Caribbean Princess. One framed pic comes with the package, and you can bet they'll take plenty of others to try to sell us. ;)

Better set aside some $$$ - you KNOW you're gonna have a hard time deciding between the photos.

I'm getting really good at saying "NO" lately, in a variety of contexts.

Becky- wear something that makes you feel beautiful.  When you feel beautiful the day will be magical and the pictures will be amazing.

I was happy to see that you were renewing your vows. I think you should wear what makes you feel good.

My husband and I spent many an anniversary at this resort in the mountains. They sent me a letter that every month they are asking people back to renew their vows with cake and champagne and a dinner. I mentioned it to my AJ since this month will be our 35th and it was like a deer in the headlights.

I hope to get out clothes shopping some time this week or next. I've suddenly had this HUGE project land in my lap, tho, so I'm not sure I'll have enough time.

Some times when I go shopping, I keep thinking that I have something so much nicer in my closet. Concentrate on the project. If you take a run and can't find anything, I bet you have something so much nicer.
