I saw this topic online and never even thought of using something like this. Those days when you get back from port and don't want to mess with your hair or really have the time, this might work for women and girls. There are a lot of sites online that sell these or you can get them at some local stores like Sally Beauty Supply. Anyone ever try these?

Here are some pics:

Those are so cute!!! I have always wanted to be able to make a bun.....but my hair is too thin and straight......:(

I have wanted to try things like that, but I think the hairpieces would just slide out of my hair, like bobby pins do.......they just slip right out.  :shoot me:

I can never make anything work either, Denise!:(  My hair isn't thin at all, and it's wavey, but very fine.  Everything just falls or slides out, no matter how much hair goo or spray!  I'm just a frump-WHAH!!!

Does not doing an up-do on formal night make me a bad person?

My wedding hairdo was a clip on piece. I didn't want my curly do falling apart in the wind and humidity on the beach. I also can't do my hair to save my life. *blush*

My hair is super fine and I can get a piece to stay in with no problem. I use the kind with the "jaw clip" on the back. All you have to do is twist up your hair and clip it over your own. I used a couple bobby pins just in case.

No! I haven't done them ever. My hair is thinning and fine too. I usually have a cut and perm that will work in every situation, but I'm overdue on that.

I used to get perms. I went into a salon a couple of years ago where the stylist told me they don't do perms much anymore, they're out of style. She was really kind of rude to me. :( I found a new stylist about a year ago, and now have a short do that has a good deal of body when I blow dry it. Only takes ~5 minutes. ;)

My stylist says perms aren't good for your hair, but I dont' seem to have much choice. I just don't look good in straight hair.

Straight hair ages your face.  I do wear mine straight but it does make me look older, which I am getting older though. lol

I have no choice but to wear mine straight. I have tried body waves and even had a perm many years ago......it lasted the total of one week. And my hair was in terrible shape from the chemicals. No thanks.  Maybe I'll try a wig?
