Has anyone heard of, or used, this product? From the above link to a thread on CC, it sounds like it might be worth a try!

I might pick up some today at the drugstore and maybe we could have a PFH party......kinda like our old MP parties!!! :cheering:

It sounds like you put it on your face (or elbows, hands or feet) and rub it in and you get a kind of dermabrasin effect.

(OOPS!  It's called Pretty Feet & Hands!)

Sorry---I don't know why the link I posted from CC isn't working as a hotlink.......

wow! i thought this product was discontinued a long time ago.

i used this years and years ago -- before regular manis and pedis.  it does exfoliate and take off the dead skin.  i am so hard on my feet though that nothing works as well as a pedicure with...the knife.

Me, too, coz I go barefoot so much!

But I was interested to read that you can also use this product on your face, too.

I'm going to get some today when I go to Wal-Mart. I have really sensitive skin on my face and just hope it doesn't irritate it.........

I have used since a teen.  It is good stuff, especially if you do not have a pedi often.  I am kind of partial to having my nail tech do a pedi about once a month though.  I have not bought it in a while but normally see it at Walmart.

Does it really work with calluses on your feet, or mainly sloughing off the dead skin? I don't get pedicure's very often, so this product might help me to have smoother feet!!

oh. i don't know that i'd use it on my face, d.

unless they changed the formula, that stuff as i remember it, is (was) pretty abrasive.  you might end up with blotches.

see how it affects your hands first.

i like neutrogena products b/c they are easy on the skin.

i haven't used any of their exfoliating products, but i know they have the microderm abrasion system, (not sure how expensive that is), and i just found this looking on line.  it got favorable reviews and looks like something that wldn't cost much at all.

I like Neutrogena, too.  I really like the Neutrogena sunscreen products.

I discovered a new face cream a few weeks ago adn I really like it. It's really smooth and not greasy at all.  I can't think of the name right now, but it's in a bright green jar.

I agree I would never use it on my face.  It really gets rid of any dry or rough skin on your feet.  I am unsure of the calluses but once you use it you will understand what I am saying about it removing the dead and rough skin.  It is amazing but make sure you follow the instructions.  If you do not it will not work nearly as good.

I didn't get to the store today, but I'm heading to Wal-Mart tomorrow.  I'll try it on my elbows and feet first and see how it works.

I use good ole Ivory soap to wash my face and I like Aveeno for their face sunscreen.

Check out the face cream for us Denise, I'm always looking for something good!  I have problems with things either being too oily or too drying (or having too much scents and other crap in them).

Holy crap, Amy! Ivory is about the most drying thing you could possibly use on your face. It will dry you out, then your skin will get oily to over-compensate for the drying. Try changing to a different sort of facial cleanser, and I bet you'll have fewer problems with moisturizers causing drying or break-outs.

I was using the Wexler line of products from Bath & Body Works until some recent (and very necessary!) belt-tightening. I've tried Clinique, Mary Kay, Estee Lauder, and a host of grocery-store product lines, and Wexler is by far the best thing I've ever used. Since I went back to using a hodge podge of cheaper products I've got break-outs like you wouldn't believe. Finances have recently eased up, so I'm very much looking forward to getting back on the full Wexler line. The single best product for me has been the daily acid peel pads, but it's an integral part of the whole product line; using it alone, I imagine, could be VERY drying.

Really??  I've never had any problems with it drying my skin out, not even in winter.

I've used all kinds of other facial cleansers (from aveeno to olay to cetaphil) and either they make me break out or they dry out my face like you wouldn't believe.  When I use Ivory neither happens.

Maybe it's the fragrances and chemicals and extra "stuff" in regular cleansers that irritate my skin??

Sounds like it is quite possible you have chemical sensitivities. Ivory is good for people who have that. I'm still wondering about using it on your face, tho?

About a year ago when visiting my mother (age: 65) she took me to CVS and asked me for some advice on a facial care plan. I asked her what she's been using as a cleanser, and she said Sea Breeze.   (No wonder her skin looked like old dried out leather.) I said, "WHY are you using that?!?" She said that's what she started using in her 30's and she's been using it ever since. I suggested to her that skin changes as we age... :shoot me: She now uses Olay products, including a moisturizer, which she'd never previously used.

Ladies, I have just two words for us: Eye Cream. Essential as we age.

I use Garnier to wash my face.  I have just started using a different moisturizer by Loreal.

I started using one a couple of years ago, and it has made a world of difference in the crevasse under my eyes. :P

I have had to learn all this on my own.  My mom never told me what to do or how to take care of my skin.

I agree the eye creamer is very important.  I am using one from BeautiControl, what do you guys use?

Me, too!  My mom never showed me about that stuff, as she doesn't even have a facial care regime!     She washes her face and very rarely uses Oil of Olay, but that's infrequently.
I have used Arbonne, but I just discovered the Garnier products.  I like the face cream and will try and pick up the eye gel/cream over the weekend and give it a try.

The first one I ever used was from the Wexler line. I went cheap last time I bought and got L'Oreal De-Crease. It has not done near as good a job of plumping out those crevasses. I'm ponying up the dough and buying Wexler again next time.

That's one thing Wexler's products do well, especially for us with aging skin: plumpers. These products do a good job of plumping up those lines and smoothing out the skin. MUCH better than Restelane treatments.

Patricia Wexler was on 10 Years Younger yesterday -- MG, how she loves Botox and Restelane.   I was thinking of booking an appointment with her, until I saw that show yesterday! No way I'm getting stuff injected into my face.

I had BOTOX before a few times, and have mixed feelings. It's expensive and really doesn't last that long. It's quite painful, too.  It does help the lines between your eyes, but did absolutely NOTHING for the wrinkles around my eyes (crows feet). I had it there twice, but with no appreciative difference.

I have roseacea, so I have to be very careful about the products I use.....some make me break out.

Okay, so I'm watching 10 Years Younger again, and I've got a question...

Do you feel like they use more aggressive treatments on this show in order to produce immediate results (e.g., Botox & Restylane), when normally the dermatologists might use something less aggressive (e.g., a new skin care regimen) if they had the time to wait?
